I was just wondering what people thought about bungies Idea to release new halo 2 maps. Are you for or against. I'm kind of in the middle, if its gunna delay Halo 3 I'm definitely against it but other than that they could be quite fun. What about modding them and do you guys thinks theres anyway to get them on the xbox from the 360?

I'm kinda excited about them...I just hope they aren't flop maps...maybe remade Damnation or something?

Yer but I hope the release about 9, it would be sweet with some remade h1 maps and some brand spanking new ones.I hope they don't release like only 3 maps. That would just kill it.

I doubt they'd release 9...they'll probably release around 2/3.

Big deal if it does delay Halo 3... it's so far away it doesn't bother me.

I would like to see sidewinder, or maybe just something completley new. And of course they will be able to work on the original xbox, seeing as Halo 2 is an original xbox game, just maybe some h4x will need to be applied.

Yeah I doubt it will delay Halo 3 that much. I'm hoping that they'll make 2 new maps and then bring back 1 more Halo classic (Hang 'em High or Sidewinder would be nice).

Would anyone like to see a Halo 3 map?

I'm sorta excited. I like how after a year now they plan on releasing new maps. I don't like how it will only be for the Xbox 360. They are doing this for a good reason though to stop all the modding. I will hopefully start a job soon to make some money for buying it.

They're doing it to encourage you to purchase a 360. I can't beleive you're that naive... for starters, modding the 360 is even easier then the original... secondly, it's Microsoft... everything is to make money, why help the public... these are the people that made windows remember.

If you had the choice, between a market where everything works on your machine +/- a few glitches, or a market where nothing/no support exsited, what would you choose?

Microsoft is trying to ride out on Halo 2's success, and create a larger interest in the 360 as the Wii and PS3 become available.

It's a brilliant strategy, and don't hate 'em for wanting to further their business.

Oh yeah, I never denied it was a good plan, I was just stating, you would have to be naive to beleive Microsoft would do something like that, and their main goal wouldn't be to increase market value etc.

I know that they are trying to encourage people to buy the 360. I'm not that stupid I just didn't have time to post the rest because I had to leave my friend's house. It's a good idea that Microsoft has came up with. I should have edited my post I just forgot about it...

They should convert (or recreate) a few CE maps.

A recreation of some old CE maps would be awesome, but it's uber unlikely...

And I don't think they'd offer a Halo 3 map for Halo 2...it'd just seem weird.
