yes yes, hooray beer indeed(love those commercials) but seriously shared connection tares down some major walls, and ends some arguments as to whos better at Halo an xbox player or P.C'er.

PC is better than Xbox.

Its a really stupid comparison (sorry no offense intended).

Its like asking is a Computer better than a computer?

Xbox has a 733MHz CPU. Most computers have more than that.

So, in hardware, most modern day computers kick Xbox's butt.

Still because the kernel of the Xbox is based of a very stable Windows operating system and because this kernel is specifically designed for games and for almost nothing else, Xbox is better at doing some stuff like games that are specifically made for it.

Why not make a better comparison? Xbox 360 vs. PC

It really depends on your style. I'm much better at using a controler then a mouse. I think it is a good idea about shared connections though.

PC. Pc is probably the most enduring gaming platform, and not to be obsolete any time soon. PC gaming has been around for decades. It has outlasted some of the greatest consoles. And unlike consoles, as technology develops, PC's will too. Instead of having to go out and buy a new piece of hardware when the older one goes obsolete, All you need to do is Slap on a couple new cards, and at most, have to swap out an old mobo or processor.

PC is alot more flexible than any console, and besides that, there's the entire open source and modding community on pc. my vote goes to the pc.

The Xbox is just a crappy computer with a great graphics card.

The graphics card isn't very impressive either. The reason consoles are (initially) cheaper than PC's with similar graphics configurations is that consoles are engineered specifically for gaming - they have dedicated hardware made specifically for it. Whereas PC's have to be able to play games, do word processing, and an infinite number of other possibilities.

Xbox, although it is a great gaming system, will definitely not "replace" computers. While it doesn't seem possible, in fifteen years the Xbox consoles will be just a thing in the past. They will be like how we look back at Nintendo consoles.

I believe that computers will continue to be the strongest processing utilities for many more years. At least until we start inventing cyberspace technology and other futuristic phenomena.

In my personal opinion, Xbox = win.

I prefer controllers over keyboards.

I'm all about the console, mainly do to these facts:
1. Computability: You get a game and you know it will work with your console and that the graphics shown in screen shots are the same graphics you are going to get.
2.Less expensive: For a good PC that can play games with Xbox 360 graphics, you're going to shell out a lot more money than it would take to buy a 360.
3.No OS bugs: I've never had my virgin xbox crash, never and I don't have to defragment it or get virus software for it. I've had my 360 crash once, I don't know why.
4. No installation: You get the game, stick it in, play. That simple.
5. No need to worry about graphics quality versus frame rate.
Why the PC generally owns the xbox:
1 .You don't have to get up to play it.
2. More games.
3. You can build your own system, with your own specs.
4. Custom content.

Personally I'm a console gamer, with some PC games, mainly emus. I also don't have the money to shell out on a PC too, that also defines it.
