I used to be a hardcore PC guy, all the good software (games especially) was made for PC. However Apple, through a series of marketing decisions that are nothing short of brilliant, has won me over. Why buy a PC when you can get a sleek Mac that can run Windows too!
You can be sure that the next computer I buy is a Mac.
The only disadvantages to Macs are the customization. You simply cannot build a Mac from scratch, and upgrading them is more difficult than a PC. However, Apple is moving in the right direction and the new wave of Intel Macs are much easier to upgrade than previous versions.

Macs - the uberly awsome computers of the future that run amazingly and are great computers for next to almost anything. Unfortunatley, macs cost a lot, and thier software does to, because of a monopoly called microsoft.
PCs- pieces of shit that constantly get viruses, and shouldn't be classified as a 'computer'.
I went to the Apple store in one of the malls near me and was on thier computers for about an hour cause it was so fun, the processing speed was phenomenal, the layout was brilliant. And the mouse was really cool
Then I went to thier shelf of games and software, and everything was 50$+ and thier computers were ranged at 1,000$ I was really mad cause I was planning on getting a mac, but once those prices showed up I was really sad
My friend got a mac and he said his computer is absolutely NOTHING compared to the mac.

I have a PC. I like it because I can install linux and use graphics cards.
I can also upgrade on the fly while the thing is turned off.
(desktops).
Go to the SillyDog forums. The admin is CRAZY about Macs.
And I quote:
This as well as saying that less RAM makes computers start faster.
He argues that whatever standard for the Mac (ie the picture file format) is better than any picture format EVER!!!
I forgot to mention that he calls people that use Linux "open-source extremists."
Edit: PC's can run Mac's as well..
you just need 500mb worth of hacks. And a 64-bit dual core CPU.

My friend : My neck is hurting.
Admin : You should get the Mac 17" flat panel display to get rid of that neck problem.

This is an excellent point. Saying something like "i r liek mac cuz pc r get virus" is such a terrible argument to make. You can't blame a computer for the actions of people that develop viruses, and your own failure to protect yourself.JunkfoodMan wrote:PC. I have Norton.
Each side has it's strong points, and each it's weak. However, if you plan to argue one way or the other, you should think out the argument before you state it.
As for the "Macs can run Windows" idea, it really speaks for Windows as much as the Mac as a computer. It's not just that Macs can run Windows, but also that Windows can be run on something other than a PC; more versatility.

Mac's less viruses?I always laugh at that.Ok people think for a min.
Macs are as capable to have viruses as PCs do.Why does Mac have LESS viruses?Cause there are more windows.Once more people get Macs there will be more viruses on mac then on windows.
Sure Apple do better descisions but I still would use a PC.

...left for good
I dunno, my friend has a mac and hasn't got almost any viruses. It might because they aren't targeted near as much as PC's.Patrickssj6 wrote:Mac's less viruses?I always laugh at that.Ok people think for a min.

Why do you think so many colleges and companies choose mac if they are looking for something that runs well? Because they run a lot faster and are more efficiant just alltogether.
Heres a semi-good comparison I guess.
A mac is frosted flakes.
A PC is a cheap immitation of frosted flakes that are cheaper but taste like shit.
I do like PC's just because I'm stuck with them right now, but if I had a chance to get a Mac, I'd take the offer in a second. They are great for school, work, and personal reasons. Unfortunatley as I stated earlyer, they are pretty expensive; along with the high price of the computer itself, the games and software cost a lot. But they do come with some pretty good software when you buy them with the store. The movie editor is like windows movie maker x20, and thier image editing is like paint x50, thats just the basic free software that is installed on the computer when they are made.
I also like how there isn't a huge ass variety of them, so you don't get confused with all the system specs when buying one.
I also love the simplicity of the Mac, you don't have the screen and this huge ass box next to your computer that takes up space that could be used for games, books, papers, etc. It's just the moniter, the keyboard, and the screen. Some of them have a tiny little box that the moniter plugs into, but that's it.
The layout of the operating system is beautiful also, I can't say much about it. So I'm more of a mac guy, but I generally don't make such a big deal about it, after all, it's just a computer. However, I have to say: Macs ftw.
Plus, Apple made one of the greatest Mp3 players ever, bar none, nothing else can beat it. Mine is sturdy as hell, I've dropped it so many damn times and it looks, and works like it were brand new. I've taken it skiing, snowboarding, backpacking, etc. And it is still in perfect condition. I also use it as a flash drive for school lolz. I just really think Apple builds thier computers and other things to last, PC's tend to break pretty easy, and I don't even think about bringing my laptop to school in fear of it breaking.
