ya halo but others?

Off topic chat. Basically anything that doesn't concern halo or halo modding can go here.

we all realize Halo is a Gateway to modding and screwing around with the systems and programs  but what about all the other games. No one talks about them, now why is that?I wanna see more of my favorite games being modded like halo.

That's because all u do is look for halo

There's plenty of other games being modded and talked about for instance HL2.... and ton's of other less mainstream games.

Well, not every game gets a 'custom edition' version released. Although many do have modding SDK's. Some of the big mod-able games are Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2. I would say that the biggest difference is that Halo is more basic, and in many cases easier; whereas in HL2 or BF2 you can really get your hands dirty and write code to fundamentally alter the gameplay and engine.

Software Developer Kit. It's basically a 'package' that is used for development of all kinds of things, in this case to modify games.

Counterstrike Source! FTW :P
Garrys Mod 9 FTW :P

Those are my altime favorites for modding, they are so much better than Halo. I just finished making my own animation of a Strider dancing and I'm importing it into Half Life 2 tomorrow maybe.

Wouldn't be worth the money on buying a chip for the Sims.

1:your crazy,The Sims is awsome
2:it's worth it if you already have a modded xbox
3:Sims is a bit constricting so to be able to break outside of the game bariers would be sweetness in a bowl with sugery products on top.

I hate sim games, all of them, Sim City, Sim coaster, sim everything. Well Sim city isnt bad, but the rest are pretty boaring and pointless.

But I'll stop cause I don't want to piss anyone off. I think the best modding game is the Valve games (Ex: Counterstrike Source, half Life, Half Life 2, Counterstrike, etc). Its so awsome to work with, I've had a blast with it so far, theres things in htere that wouldn't be imagineable in Halo.
