Off topic chat. Basically anything that doesn't concern halo or halo modding can go here.

IE sucks, unless you're running Vista, then it sucks less, but still sucks.

It works, it's easy to use, it's not loaded up with squillions of completely useless things you'll probably never use... IE is fine by me.

you people are getting what I did?

I used the extension to rig its own ratings. On the comments page, I turned the pulldown rating menu which normally is used to select a rating between 1 and 5, into a text input, and I put in 255.(I originally tried 200000, but it wouldn't accept any value over a byte)

and rossmum, you're still an infidel. :P

by default, firefox isn't loaded with much more than IE. You only add features that you need.
I use the majority of my extensions daily.

What makes Firefox really nice is the skins. Thats one of the primary reasons I use it, also being the extensions. Also its faster and you get less malware. Plus in the beta of 2.0 it has a spell checker, so basically Firefox owns, and that extension is awesome.]
EDIT:Haha they made all your 255's 5s.

So they did...And I didn't even get banned or anything.

and speaking of themes
wait nevermind. they fixed that one too(The average rating though is above 5 though)

it was pretty much my nice little way of pointing out a bug/hole in their php.

Three common things that can be exploited by Web Developer:
-Reliance upon the maxlength value as a way of limiting the length of text inputs
-Reliance upon select menus limiting the options to those on the menu.
-Reliance upon hidden inputs as a way of keeping info from being changed.

On the scifi.com bulletin boards, it used to be possible on the confirm delete post page to access a hidden input which had the number of the post to be deleted. After discovering this, it was possible to delete other peoples posts. Stickies and Announcements could be posted by regular users using a similar method.

Sometime I need to tell all you people my story from there. It was truly fun. Over a year and a half ago, for over 3 months, I ran an underground justice system sort of thing there. The scifi boards were run like a dictatorship, one or two admins, and no mods. The admins would be nazis toward some users, and then make pets out of others. So I, and a handful of trusted friends on the board used my numerous exploits to take action when we thought it was needed. In the end, a member of my group betrayed me to the admins, and I was banned.

those were the days...lol

As my friend Chris would say, you could run your PC with IE6 and Windows XP, with no virus protection software at all, and not have any problems. He does that and hasn't had anything nasty on his PC for 2 years. As for the spelling checker? No need for it, I'm one of the best spellers in my school and always have been. :P Though I'm not so crash hot at typing.
