I heard there is a Program used by Schools for Teachers to see everything that the students do?

Is there a such thing? Synchronize?

my school uses NetOp school. yours might use that, or something else. do some recon in the computer's program files directory and the running processes and see if you find anything.

There are many programs.
Most use some simple stuff to detect text on running programs and snap pics.
Others also have key loggers which record the piece of memory containing the key currently being pressed by the keyboard.
So no looking at you-know-what at school unless you're on your own computer XD

My school has certain URLs blocked too, like the word sex and stuff.

I don't know of any other programs though.

My school isn't nazi-ish enough to put keyloggers and such on their computers, but the filtering system they use is almost impossible to get around. I've tried tons and tons of proxies, with no luck. So far, the only 100% successful method has been remote-desktoping my computer at home(and even then, I have to go into my registry and set remote desktop to use port 21, so the filters think it's FTP traffic).

EDIT: oh, and today I was given reason to hate the filters even more. The filters block google when I use firefox because google adds "&safe=off" to the URL when you do a search when browsing with firefox.(of course that can be fixed by just using the user-agent changing extension)

maybe I'll look into setting up one of my older computers as a proxy server, if I can figure out how.

I'd just have to be careful who I give my IP to. What fun it would be getting called to the office for providing everybody an easy way to get by the filters...

Well Equinox, there's only like one or two sites that I can't go to that I normally go to, for example, Resexellence.com was a site I used to go to (A site for modding Mac OS X). I think MySpace is blocked too now, but I don't care seeing how I hate the place...

Also, seeing how nobody else in my town even goes to HaloMods, this is pretty safe :)

I hate myspace too....but I still use it. Just about everybody I know uses it, so its good for staying in touch with my friends from where I used to live. The stability of the site is well....horrific.

Its the whole if everybody was jumping off a cliff thing. If everybody I knew was jumping off a cliff, I'd get really lonely, so I'd jump off it too. :P

I knew it once too forgot it though.

But google cache works just as great.Cache the site if you want another link on that site get the url of that link go back to google type that link in and choose cache again... :D

i've decided that i'll compose a tutorial of all of my personal methods to bypass school webfilters and censorship, and add in other methods submit by users. if you have any special, un-mentioned method of getting past webfilters, pm me.

You can use a live-CD linux to get by stuff. But thats also risky considering if a teacher walks by and sees linux on your comp... you're screwed.
