if i posted 8 times in a forum that i was the only one replying to would i be banned and if yes for how long?

If you were replying to your own topics that would be counted as double posts, if you did this in eight of your threads then that would equate to 16 double posts if I'm understanding your question correctly.

I think he might mean just posting in 8 topics on an empty forum, in which case you should be OK as long as they aren't doubles/triples/etc. or all new topics you could have posted in one, and they follow the normal rules.

What, like replying to eight topics in the Cafe? There's nothing wrong with that unless you are spamming or double posting.

no i mean double posting 4 times because i made a thread i waited 2 days then posted in it again then i waited 1 more day then posted so im up to a triple post

you see everytime I start a thread it there are 2 things that can happen to it
1.some random person answers it and doesnt help me at all then i post in response then noone else answers
2.I start a thread noone answers in 2 days i post in in again(double post)
then I wait another day still noone answers so i post again then from then on everyday i continue to post in it until someone answers

We're not very strict on the double-post rule. If you create a topic, and nobody has replied for 5 days, we won't care if you double-post. However, don't post a topic, wait 10 minutes, and then double-post.

Wait longer than that. Only waiting a day or two would be considered spamming the forums.
