For those of you who remember GSOF...

I've been thinking.. I really enjoyed the old times of GSOF, that was fun.

I was wondering if it would be worth restarting it, and get all the oldies back together. But I don't know if it's worth it. Most of us I would assume have grown up and moved on, but if I'm not correct, please correct me.

I deleted all my contacts long ago, and banned them all, in hopes of removing myself from the internet side, but do try and reach me.

Anyways this time around if we do re-start it, it would be whatever you want. I would do the hosting, but it wouldn't be "MY project" it would be back as it was. No hacks (mods), no super complicated stuff, just a simple phpBB, and old GSOF.

Any ideas or comments?

If this started back up, I would probably get back into graphics for a while. I have too much free time anyway. I say go for it!

GSOF was a graphics site back in the days, was an non-official extension of graphics for Halomods. Basically in the days this forum was really restricted and Infern0 started a forum hosted free and all the people here who did graphics eventually migrated to GSOF. I took GSOF and made it grow, by officially hosting it, and it well grew big, and finally after a while people got really annoyed that there were a lot of noobs, which was the purpose of the site, and with the new ID events and stuff, it eventually just died away.

There was a lot of fun stuff that happened at GSOF, it was basically like a Halomods GFX place, but people had fun. At least I did.

I would love if GSOF were restarted again.

Any more feedback? I want to make sure I have a crowd before I invest my time into this again.

I'd join and post a couples times every once in awhile, but I wouldn't be extreme active.

I will begin the restoration soon, I will make an announcement an mass e-mail the current users.

I'd like to see it back up again. That's what got me into graphics. Sadly, I lost almost all of my work that I've made. I do still have my current signature though.

Okey, well I am moving parts of the database over, and cleaning out and re-setting up the forums to a clean and nice feel.

In a few days hopefully it will be back... woho, I feel so happy!!

Woho... Just finished moving the database which was such a pain, and setting up the template and everything... It's just about done. Might release tonight perhaps.

Sounds like fun, only one thing, I suggest not having so many ranks like last time.

Anyways the only ranks I'm planning for are admins and mods. Maybe I might throw in judges or people that run other stuff.
