Which should I get....

Well, I came up with some money recently, and I wanted to get some Kind of 3D/gfx software. Since I already got CS2, I dont need a new photoshop.
I was thinking Cool3d( the one I used to make the Spinny avatar things, and the gold chain[which I didnt post on this site
] but its a trial thats gonna die soon.)
3DS Max 8
or
C4D.

I think it depends on what you're going to do. For heavy animation/game development I think 3DS Max is the industry standard. But for more art/graphic design stuff I think C4D is better.

I like C4D, it seems to be pretty good but I haven't used 3DS Max either, if you could get Max 8 I might say go with that but still. I'm not sure about 3DS Max but I know C4D has the ability to make movies which is cool.

Like I Said, its the program on GR that they used to make the chains and the spinning logo avatars.

Get Cinema or Bryce. Both are excellent programs.

Well, not necesarrily, My dad's friend at work got a copy of both, but he isnt going to use them anymore, and my dad gave me a choice. 3DS Max, C4D or use my report card money on C3D.

I don't like byrce AS much as Cinema 4D but yeah it is pretty good.

If you own 7, its cheap.

meh the copy of 8 they had was all scratched up and didnt install, so I got 7 instead.
