I need some [computer] [program] help.
Is there a way to totally get rid of internet explorer. I HATE IT! It keeps giving me popups. I dont even use internet explorer! Please help me. I dont want to resort to reformatting my harddrive.

Just go out and get a cheap low storage hard drive, like 10 GB or something, back up all your stuff that you want to keep, and reformat. If you think you can get by with windows without ever having to reformat you have another thing comin.lxNicktardxl wrote:doing the add ons did nothing. I still get a million. Im so PISSED![]()

wow. they coulda just been processes. what i did was to get rid of popups, when you start up, go to the processes in task manager. see whats good. they are mostly abriveiated but some are pretty easy to figure out. (hl2.exe is CSS or Half Life 2, msnmsgr MSN Messenger, tskmgr.exe etc.) then look up the ones youre unsure about. there was one that was about 20 characters long, that was an ad client. But like Patrick said, Ad Aware is pretty good, but I personally like Spybot.
