i think they should be equal. i mean, i just need to find the game attractive enough where i actualy want to play it. the Gamplay is just as important, but not more important. i think they go hand in hand. but it is alright if the gameplay outweighs the graphics a little.

well i mostly care about good graphics for the sake of making movies, because no one wants to see non shiny metal.... but seriously i wish no one cared, but im afraid thats not how things work :|

sometimes insufficient graphics card can help ingame. Like if you have a crappy graphics card, (like a 128 or below) you can acctuallly distinguish a Camo'd unit from the background. But other than that, the games presentation should be equal to gameplay. You also forgot another key component in a game. Audio.

Yea, the game would suck if it had gameplay as god as halo, doom 3, or HL2 (as I see them) but the graphics of pong.

whats so important about audio... really an intergrated audio card is going to be just as a good as 500 dollar one... audio is audio

If you have a low end graphics card, then you'll most likely get FPS lag, hence lowering gameplay level.

So I'd say they're equal.

another thing about graphics, they can hurt your eyes if u have a bad gfx card. Im living proof, had a 64mb card for 2 years. when u feel the pain in your eyes from looking at this dark crap and untextured surfaces, you wont wanna play as much

what I meant about audio is that does the game itself sound realistic to whats really going on onscreen?? How is the Voiceover quality?? If they made a game based on a movie, did they use the same Actors from the movie?? that kind of stuff
