some oppinons here, cause im confused....
Ive been thinking alot about what im gonna do with my life and its been nailed down to music or computers.
Now im good at both of them but im having a really tough time deciding on which one to persue and which one will be my back up.....
i have been thinking that music will be my goal and computers will be my back up plan in case the music thing doesnt go to well, but i need somone to give me a second oppinion on this
heres a teeney tiney clip of me playin drums, and give your oppinion:

I dont think the internet is where you should go for this sort of thing, but I love my music. I've played guitar for 4 years now and I'm getting really good, so I say music, and I;m also considering computers as a fall back plan. The only reason I replied to youu is because of the similar situation... good luck either way
well, this is a tough desicion, at the moment its both
im seeking for a dependable band
and i am almost in ATC (im 14), i just have to wait for my councelor to tell me theres a seat left, which i know there is, i just need her approval and transfer out of my spanish class (thank god lol)
but i think i should go for music and have comps as my backup, i wanna shoot as high as possible, but still of course pracitce both with great effort

but the thing is, im not just any kid on the computer, soon enough im gonna be making programs, applications, etc. once i get into ATC, hell why dont i try to start now?Spartan (Foods?) wrote:You won't get far with computers, any kid can now make their own website and stuff, so yeah, computers is not a good one.

that inspiration is the VERY thing that im having a tough time with, because i do that, and then i listen to music while i do it, then i think "why dont i try to play that?" then i get on the drums, then ill be playing drums for the next hour or two.

BTW- id def say learn comps, and drums on side, u cna make mad money in comps, believe me not tha many people know how to use comps to program and crap

Well, I heard once that you can either be rich or be happy. But never both. I suppose it's kinda true. You can make a lot of money with computer skills, but playing music will more than likely make you happier. So it's really a tough choice. My suggestion is to persue both of them untill one becomes obviously dominant.
And I knew a guy who passed out while playing the drums because he forgot to breath.
Lastly, what college class did you get into? Not that it really matters, but I'm curious.

you cant persue 2 completely differant careers.... unless you want to pay for 2 colledges, but then youd have to take high school again to get the pre-resiquites needed for the other career...
cause i can guarentee youll have hard time finding a colledge/universty that has a good computer AND music course >_>

And if they don't accept Jesus as their Personal Savior, you can kill them later. How cool is that!
