"Duke" Controller vs. Controller "S"

all my friends give me crap about using the old "duke" style xbox controller. (for those of you who don't know, those are the BIG controllers, the very first ones that are now discontinued.) i was just wondering what the preference is among the masses: between the "duke" controller, the "S" controller, and i guess some people out there use 3rd-party controllers. leave your preference.

The big ones are just that, too damn big.... I think at first they intended like 25 year olds to be playing it otherwise there is no way they would have made the controllers that big...

Err... I'm 11 and I use the 'Duke" style, I got Xbox when it first came out. I have adapted to that controller and as many times as I've tried, I can't use any other controllers.

Small controllers all the way!
Just easier to grip and I prefer the white/black button below the A,X etc buttons.

Another fact, with the big controllers, you gotta stretch your finger to get to the white/black buttons. It might only take a few seconds but those few seconds can decide whether you live or die...In Halo 2 that is, lol.

Personally, I prefer the S-Controller, as does my brother and two of my gaming friends, though the third prefers the "Duke".

gosh i feel so old ...i am "25" and i don't like the duke controller...i didn't buy the xbox because of that....when they released the s-type thats when i decided to buy it...my best friend prefers the duke though (hes 24)...12? aren't you to young to be playing halo ? its rated mature

Meh, its not the most gory game, I think it should have gotten a rating somewhere between a teen and a mature...

Duke is the best controller but no one seems to like it.

big ones are right size for my hands.....the small ones are SO DAMN SMALL!!!!!

I used to prefer big, but now i like the small ones, besides, smalls can be replaced and i have a bad habit of throwing my controller when i get pissed. No telling how many times i had to sodder pieces back on my communicator.
