Penalties for Pirating

Well, since every modder here has probably done this in order to obtain software to make mods, I (and maybe some other people) would like to know what the minimum and maximum Penalties are for Pirating said software (PS, Max, etc.).
Discuss.

your looking at a fine up aaround 150 000 dollars, i dont think your allowance can cover that
edit: oh and up to 5 years in jail

They dont want anyone doing it... anyway, this is kinda pointless, you should come into the internet world fully prepared for stuff like this.

Err, I thought the penalty for piracy was $250000, not 150000...?
