Hm...'M' games I've bought...I doubt I can name them all. Let's see: Halo, Halo 2, GTA: SA, Doom 3, Farcry: Instincts, Crackdown, Gears of War, Half-Life 2, the list goes on. Why does Jack even bother? =/

I'm sick of hearing about Jack Thompson.
Ok, he hates video games, big deal. Plenty of people don't like video games, he just has a somewhat larger voice than anyone else. So posting topic among topic, whining about him saying something bad about video games isn't going to change anything. Just move on in your life and live in the thought that he's old, and he'll be dead soon. He hasn't stopped you from playing your games, so there's really no big issue here is there?

Living in Cali, I am under the "Under 17 cannot purchase M rated games" law. I myself have purchased M rated games. Big fucking deal. Lets see...

Now, if one were to say, its easy to get passed those things, then how hard is it to import a game from another state? another country? bloody easy, hell I can buy games cheaper from overseas and play them here.

Banning vedio games will only worsen the issue, if you even want to call it and issue.
Every time something is banned or made illegal, it creates a black market for it.
So Jack will have to prepare himself for the fiery shit storm that is coming his way because no one will peacefully give up there video games.

Well, it's been a while since I've been here, almost two years by my guess... Anyway, I'm here for Jacko. See, this guy has been laughed out of nearly every courtroom he's been in- That is to say, he fails, and he does so harder than any lawyer has ever failed before.
For those of you that feel the absolute need to disregard this lunatic, I must beg your reconsideration. He's already got a legion of soccer moms(LOOK OUT, IT'S A MINIVAN!), old people(They can be vicious with those canes!), victims of school shootings that are actually ignorant enough to believe his bull. The list goes on. With this legion of ignorance, there's no telling what will happen.
As for this newfound Microsoft business, well... He's absolutely wrong and obscenely stupid on two things: One, he called Halo 3 'hyperviolent', which is a fallacy in every right. Two, he's implying legal action against Microsoft, which is just so, so stupid on so many levels. First, we have the fact that it's fuggin' MICROSOFT. Second, he's attacking Microsoft over the sales of the 'hyperviolent' Halo 3. He's just going after the wrong people.
What REALLY pisses me off, though, is that he can be on TV, spewing his anti-gaming trash without ANY sort of a counterpoint, ANY real information to back it up, and absolutely no logical thinking. I don't even need to exemplify this point.
And hey, I'll bet those kids at Columbine and Virginia Tech. did a lot of breathing, too. We should all stop breathing! Lest we become serial killers!
A recent study even showed that those kids ate wheat-based products. OES NOES!
He's even gone so far as to LIE ABOUT DONATING TO CHARITY. I don't know about you, but that's just about the lowest of the low. I mean, come on- if someone else does what you refuse to do, are you gonna try and sue them for 'harrassment'? 'Conspiracy'? 'Extortion'? All complete bull. Someone explain to me, using Jacko logic, how donating to a charity that Jack wouldn't is any of those things?
Personally, I think we should just get all of us gamers, Jack and the people that think like him into one area, and see what happens from there. Hell, I'd love to see violence starting on their side. The hypocrisy would be perfect! But I digress. What we really need to do is just sit back, see if we can get on the jury for his cases, and we're all set.
I'd go on longer, but seeing as I can't use expletives... Well, that's really a shame. It'd be a far more colourful rant.
