Well I don't know if he intended to say ethernet or internet, but the fact still remains that he knows absolutely nothing about either.

I spelled his version wrong though, it's "enernet"

I prefer PC's over Mac's becuase
1) PC's have easier customability, like you can get more ram, or better vid card etc.
2)PC's are just more complex which is why i prefer them, MACS are just to easy to use and i prefer more complex computers to work on, aside from errors like BSOD, i prefer working around viruses etc rather than not get any on a Mac and be like a redneck when i get one.
3) Ive never seen a mac with an Windows OS, i have seen a Pc with linux, Windows XP, and OS-X.
4) PC's have more software(i know this had been used like 50times, but it kinda does, and more better quality games, like when halo came out for Mac it had been out for Pc for like 1year and for like Xbox for like 3years (i think i had no idea)

so IMHO PC>MAC and Cake>Pie

Your ability to spell matches your knowledge of computers, my fine friend.

I'm by no means a Mac fan, but the new Intel Macs can run Windows OSs with Boot Camp if I remember correctly.

You can buy more RAM and a different video card for a Mac too, same as a PC

While some people may find it enjoyable to "work around viruses" I personally do not see much fun in that, and if you can manage to get a virus on a mac, then you either have somone out to get you, or you are just plain stupid. Also, if you think PC's are "more complex" than Macs, you obviously don't know much about OSX. Its based on Unix, so if you wish to do "complex" things, you have a ton of options.
TomClancey wrote:3) Ive never seen a mac with an Windows OS, i have seen a Pc with linux, Windows XP, and OS-X.
Hmm, well seeing as both Apple and Microsoft support running Windows on an intel mac, and it requires no cracking or anything of the sort, I don't see how this is a valid argument. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. In fact its far easier to install Windows on a mac and its legal. Running OSX on a PC involves using cracks, is more difficult, illegal, not supported by Apple or Microsoft, and could cause problems everytime Apple releases an update.

Although PC's do have more games, which has been stated before like you said, for those of us who don't care at all about PC gaming, this point also proves to be invalid, seeing as for almost every common program on the PC that is not game related, there is usually some sort of Mac counterpart.

PC's are both MAC and Microsoft builds, PC just means Personal Computer, really you should say Windows VS. Macintosh/Apple. Although Windows wins hands down, I will show proof with FACTS not opinions as the 3rd poster said.....

1.PC has a large amount of areas to put things and hide and secure files and folders!

2.Although the GUI on Mac looks really good it IS odd.

3.PC's ARE cheaper than Mac's.

4.Music is easier to run on PC's because MAC uses Itunes which just eats up RAM horribly because of it's GUI and the way it runs.

5.PC's ARE easier to upgrade instead of having to open this tiny little dome or sphere and find out WHERE HELL IS MY HARD DRIVE?

6.More games on PC*im surprised about halo on pc*

Bumping is allowed as long as it contributes useful and worthwhile comments to the thread.

As does WMP, regardless there are plenty of fast efficient and good looking alternatives for both.

From a modders point of view:
Pc's Kick ass.
Pros: They have way more 3rd party programs.
Cons: Standard units usually come to slow to run most modding programs at a good speed.

From a gamers point of view:
Close match between both.
Windows Pros: Much more games.
Windows Cons: Standard units do not full fill a gamers intent.
Macs Pros: Much better graphics with standard units.
Macs Cons: Less games.

From my point of view:
Pc's rule. No explanation to it, for some reason I just love them over macs.

Yeah most of my info is based off of the way I think and not facts so go ahead and prove me wrong at every point.

1. I haven't found out how to on WinXP yet, but I found it quickly on OS X...
2. Opinion.
3. Truth.
4. Opinion, as Dan!! said, there are better alternatives to BOTH, and iTunes runs better on OS X.
5. If you're dedicated enough to upgrade RAM or an HD, you can on ANY Mac.
6. Truth, although it IS getting better.
7. Riiiight.

(insidemacgames.com somtin like that  )
These are from my experiences Dont flame if their wrong:
1. Mac takes memory better we have a bit upgraded memory (i dont know how much but my dad is cheap) my friends do too
we are fine (7 people on one comp) they are risking it (4 people)
2. Macs look better than most microsoft operating systems (aka dells and such) NOT opinion everyone knows
3. Upgrading
Windows- buy new vista maybe a memory upgrade
Mac- (as far as i know) DL from internet
4. price range:
yes microsoft pcs are cheaper but these are computers not shoes you'll wear out in a year

Edit--
5. Macs have the best commercials ever-not making pcs look bad but macs better :D

I can't even comprehend how you justify saying your opinion is fact. Also, where can I get this 'Dell operating system' you speak of?

"4. price range: yes microsoft pcs are cheaper but these are computers not shoes you'll wear out in a year"
I haven't ever had a computer for any time under 3-5 years. That's a long time for a low cost.

1. Installing memory is as easy in my new PC as it was on my old Mac.
2. ...opinion. My theme for XP (which is made by MS) looks good, and I would say that it looks as good as Aqua (in bitmap design). Aqua has additional technology that XP's window system doesn't, such as Expose, so that is "better."
3. When I upgraded from Panther to Tiger I had to buy it. The OS updates that you get from Software Update are NOT full blown Operating Systems...they're like Service Packs, but with less new features.
4. I don't get what you're trying to say here...
5. While I personally like Apple's commercials, there's a lot of people I know that don't like them. Once again, opinion.

I find that form of advertising horrible, there are much better ways of advertising than the way that apple chooses for its mac's. If anything I say that they appeal more to mac users already than to pc users... Which I think isn't what one would aim for when trying to appeal to a target market.

Exactly, and that's what I'm trying to say. Apple's best style of marketing, in my opinion, was the "Think Different" campaign. Simple, catchy, and invites people to learn more.
