My opinion over this subject is that what kind of movie to teens like? pg-13 right? Slap a pg-13 rating on any movie and it attracts people. Same with video games: Todays world tries to make swearing and blood and violence seem right because they use it all the time in the media. Basicaly the media system is corrupt. remember; almost everything in this world revolves around money.

since people mostly ignore the ESRB ratings why not adopt the Movie ratings. ESRB just made it more complicated. they split E in half. E 6 and under and E10+

its not that the rating symbols matter, its how full of crap the ratings are, its not going to be any better just because the symbols look pretty

P.S. Not down with ESRB!! Does anyone know why ESRB was created? Because the government was going to regulate video games personally, probably way to strictly, so a bunch of people from the video game industry got together and formed ESRB. The people who "grade" the games are usually game developers. If ESRB goes down the government will probably regulate games, and do it much more strictly. I personally have no problem at all with ESRB, if your parents don't want you playing a game, then don' play it! Wait until you are 18, then you can buy any game you want.
