2: Depends on what class you're comparing. I posted here (but it got deleted...?_?) a statement I remember from Apple's WWDC 2006. Apple compared a Mac Pro to some Dell server: same specs, Apple's costed like $400 cheaper.

Uh...I don't know what your source is, because T1 is actually pretty slow, it's 1.5 Mbps. My Comcast is faster, at around 3-4 Mbps.
OC3 is 155.52 Mbps.

Also, Macs can have any kind of internet that PCs have; mine had Comcast. Use facts, please.

Facts:

Any computer with a working NIC can use ethernet technologies; the same goes for Fiber too.
T1 isn't really that fast.
T3, while being quite faster than T1, is no where near Fiber speed.
T3 is the fastest ethernet connection. Not T1 and enernet.
Lastly, Optical Carrier lines are the fastest in the world. It is laughable when they are compared to Tn lines.

While there are unused OC technologies out there, the fastest connection available is is the OC-768 line.
Capable of speeds up to ~40,000 Mbit/sec.
Now compare that to T1's measly ~12 Mbit/sec.

Yeah, T1 is definitely the way to go.
And, as Voided pointed out, anything OC is LOLEXPENSIVE.
