I GOT IT!

Ok, Tural is a robot cat, he was fine, until the server move. During the server move, Tural's programming got a little screwed up, so now Tural's going all weirdo haywire on us! I'M GOOD!

The only reasonable explanation, apparently, is that none of this is real. He was obviously responding to my "HaloMods is baaaaack!" comment, and therefore, HaloMods isn't back up. This is all just a construct of my imagination.

But part of my imagination(Tural) is therefore telling me, that HaloMods is not back, therefore telling me that this isn't real. Why, then, have I not awoken from my 'dream?' This is very confusing, indeed.

The other part of my imagination(Senor_Grunt), is attempting to find other explanations. Therefore, one part of my mind faces reality(Tural), while the other part of my imagination wants this to be real, and therefore is trying to find excuses as to why this blissful 'dream' is not just my imagination, and is truly reality.

I got it.

Just installed Firefox 3 Beta 5. And in case anyone hasn't figured out how to turn off the Autocomplete in the address bar, type in about:config, accept the message, and search for "browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped" Double click the entry and you're done.

The downside seems to be that it doesn't pop up what you've entered into the bar, either.

That does not only search the URL, it just only searches pages you have typed in. The issue is that their stupid algorithm now takes input based solely on visit activity and page titles, which is fucking stupid. If I wanted to search by page title, I'd use Google or my history. I'm typing in the damn address bar, I want to search addresses. There is no way to revert to the classic algorithm. That disables searching by history, which is a downside, not a fix. I want it to search my history, but on the URL, not the title.

I definitely agree, but I just don't like the huge suggestions that it gives. I'd rather have no searching at all than having searching that bothers me.

Even with that, it's not what I had previously. I had it set so that it would show URLs that I've typed in, not just pull pages from my history. Oh well.
