Because People are nuts.shadowkhas wrote:That reminds me of something that bugs me. My rant is that people treat me entirely differently when I tell them I'm an atheist. They treat me perfectly fine, but when they find that out, they totally go horrible on me. I've been like that the whole time, nothing's changed, so why should your opinion of me change?
And because it

That's what you get for living in America. If someone admits to being religious here, they're not looked at as the same. They wouldn't necessarily be outcast or anything, just people tend not to joke and be as open around them... that's what I've noticed anyway. They tend to get offended way more easily.shadowkhas wrote:That reminds me of something that bugs me. My rant is that people treat me entirely differently when I tell them I'm an atheist. Apparently, (I can't be bothered to cite this, I read it in a book) in America, the majority of people would sooner vote for a Gay, Black Woman to run for President, than an Atheist.
My rant: Idiot women, who crash into the back of me because they wait 'till they're driving before they put their make-up on.

rant:
illogical[ness], stubbornness, socks with holes in them, ignorance, false hope, talking about something one does not understand, Xbox 360 failures, Microsoft, the black women on Survivor, and hotdogs.
"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."
and Bush just annoys me sometimes.

Im quoting you from your first post: " I yearn for something more" "Yeah, so I'll be like the rest of you and **** to my parents or rich relatives for money"[IA]Paul wrote:Yes.....One other thing, it ISN'T the same cause as other kids. Their cause is to get something new and expensive every two months, while mine is to get something that isn't a year old and will last me a year or more.
This conflicts with what you are saying now. How is 'staying with the trend' and **** to their parents not desperation? I could keep going with this but Im just going to get to my point. You stated before you "yearn for something more", implying you too want the same "desires" as the other kids. Therefore, just because you dont beg your parents/relatives you are still just as spoiled as they are if you aquire the same "desire". And just because you did it a different way, it doesnt make you any different then they are. Thats what I meant by the 'heightened sense', you and the other kids are going after the same "desire". Your "lesson learned" has nothing to do with what Im talking about. (I am referring to your first post, not your second, you changed your outline) The second post I wont say anything about because you noted that you dont want the same thing as the other kids, that would make everything I said irrelevant.
That has nothing to do with what Im talking about.kibito87 wrote:@ roxious, it's called learning the value of a dollar. If they are given everything in life, they won't appreciate it. Plain and simple.
