For once Im going to let this thread continue, we obviously need to get some differences out, so just say it. I think just slapping a "oh its my opinion" label on it doesnt solve a damned thing. Immigration laws have an inevitable tie to presidential policy so Im declaring all of this on topic.

If youre mad at gays for enacting an anti hand gun law you are mistaken, how do you blame one group in particular for a law that passed? Also, its San Fransisco... an anti handgun law was needed. You see Im an interpretist, meaning I interpret the constitution and all laws in a modern context rather than the ancient one. When the Founding Fathers made the 2nd admendment, they were in the time of single shot muzzle loading rifles, now we have assault rifles, automatic pistols and a whole host of concealable weapons. I believe the constitution needs to be looked at in modern context, because if the society changes rapidly, but the laws governing it do not, then you have a recipe for disaster.

Weel, I aatempted to have an Educated Political discussion with you people, lets try to revive it.

Today is Officially Day 4 of the Demonstration. They had to have a couple Crowd control police, and LBUSD sfety Officers deployed to the front of the school.

Apparently, there was a group of Students from another highschool, trying to pick out supporters for the rally, and it started on the East side of Long Beach and moved west. By the time they got to our school they were prepared. so our whole school was on lockdown for the timebeing.

You have to work on collective farms to make food, you don't have your own money, the leader says what you do, it's a living hell in the form of politics. My personal opinion (I know I'm going to get an earful for this) is quite radical, I believe that the right answer is usually the simplest. So let's break down the problem, the mexican govnt. is corrupt, and the people are oppressed, so they come to the U.S. to get a chance for a decent life, which they deserve just as much as any other person on this Earth. So here's my "simple" solution, we've got to pressure the Mexican government into reforming itself and to stomping out corruption. Theoretically, this would create almost the same oppurtunities in Mexico as in the U.S., so there would be no need for illegal immigration.
cons to this plan: America is viewed as imperialistic and bullying a weaker nation. If the Mex. Gov. refuses, war could result, which would only further these views.

problem with that, if we pressure the Mexican Goverment They Will Simply Turn Their Back On Us As Well As Most Of South America, They Will Turn On Us for China, The Next Superpower, China Need Oil And Mexico/South America Is Willing To Supply it, The Reason Why They Havent Is Cause The Us Is Already Putting Pressure On Them To Stay With Us.

Um, we have the right to own what we want. I'd hate to argue with a moderater, but since that law, I bet all the gangs and violent criminals are moving there right now. No offense (Argh, I said it again, okay last time I say that!) but we the right of choice, that means we can own what we want when we want. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." That means people don't need guns to kill. If you play Halo, you can see that the flood/hunters can whack you to death, without the need for guns! Look, I want to get back on topic! I dont see what economic boosts you can get from Illegal immigration.

1.) You lose money trying to seal them out,
2.)what do they do with a large percent of their paycheck? Send it back to their country to support their family back home. So the United States loses money.

This land is called the land of Opportunity, but that was about 80-90 years ago. But there was a difference. They came legally, basicly seeling their entire lives for a ticket to come here. They were processed and mixed into General population.

Illigal immigrants however, just run, cross a border, find some family that would aid and support them for a while, then Find a Meager job to support their families back home and themselves. No documentation, no nothing.

They had a Census taken in Los Angeles a couple months ago, and about 90% of the Latino population in Mens Central Jail, is undocumented and in the country illegally.

But the sole reason why I suppor the bill is, their dissrespect for this country.

In the protests and the March, The wove Mexican, Panamanian and Salvadorian Flags as they marched. These are the same people wanting the U.S. to give them Free medcare, Free Welfare, Free rent, food stamps, and Drivers Licenses. Yet these rights arent even given to Normal American Citizens, Born here or not. If they Illegally come here, why Do they deserve free care from the American Taxpayer? Another thing that really ticks me off is that they are saying that California is rightfully theres. When they Ceded the country after a brief war with a Californian Republic.

Like THC said you get his entire region is economically supported by migrant labor on vineyards. You could say they do the jobs no one else will because they need money, and to them they are getting paid a lot because minimum wage in california is something like $7.50 an hour. I have no problem with immigration, as long as they are able to go through the correct procedures to become a US citizen and help us pay taxes.
