The ads in the middle of a thread are annoying and I think the best place to put the ads would be at the bottom or top.

I give the Other Modding section a couple weeks before it becomes completely dead.

I also don't understand how people became staff just because they had some part in the site development? That really doesn't make sense.

Who still doesn't use ad-block plus?

And if you are not using fire fox, that is an even bigger problem.

Glad to see the site coming back together. Poeple have all their emblems and posts back, and the every other post is blue is a lot better.

Cuple things left. Ads in the middle need to go, the last post bar should have a link to the latest post, but I still dislike the forum statis icons.

In all fairness, I never knew the dev team was going to be listed as 'higher' than the staff of the site.
Twas news to me.

Also, haven't I been saying I'm just an (cool) guy for a while now? :p
I know I bring very little to the table, which is why I try to help whenever I can, with what little I have.
Honestly, "dev status" means very little to me. I'd rather the site keep running and continue to be home to myself and many of my friends... including even you, Detox. ;p

If it makes anyone feel better, I can step back from the "dev status" and continue to just be an (cool) guy like I have been... and like what I continue to see myself as.

That is exactly why I chose Ketchup to be part of the team. He is an extremely positive influence, and in my book that goes a long way.

I don't think Ketchup_Bomb needs to step down. However, I do think that this whole transition needed better communication about the upcoming changes, and that is what is pissing everyone off.

Now, my likes/dislikes:

Likes:
1) Halomods homepage - Beautifully done and unique

Dislikes:
1) New forum template - Seems much too cluttered
- Not enough differentiation between read and unread posts
- Doesn't actually feel like Halomods in my opinion
- Needs an option for more than one style (template)
Formerly Halo 2 Rules!!

Why? it does not interfere with any features.

To help the site? If a web site doesn't have intrusive ads, I'll disable it, because why not let help them out? But, I just turned it back on, although there's still wasted space.

Looking through all of this... I keep thinking...

Et tu, Bruté?

That is what this all feels like to me. I'm going to presume that most of you know what happens next...
... but I feel it doesn't have to be this way. I'm am saddened to see very little apologys...and more defending.

Every time I read something from a dev. it seems like they are just making it worse. Perhaps its just Hysteria...Yes?

No Ketchup you shouldn't step back from it. I'm just saying things should've stayed as are. I know you're a very efficient moderator, one of the most, if not the most, due to the way you handle all situations. I'm talking more of other stuff.. But lets not get into that.

Are you also going to tell me you didn't choose Anthony because he helped with the main site, and Phil because he offered to do CSS? I totally forgot how quick they did their jobs in helping so much with the site.

That's why it's called the 'dev' team.

Other than the homepage and bickering between people, one good thing has come from this change:

Activity.

However, I'm not listing it as a good thing, because I've got several IMs today saying "OMG HALOMODS LUK" and it might just be temporary activity because of the craze from the new forum.

And Moderators are called Moderators because they moderate...

My point is you can choose anyone to be a moderator and they might not deserve that power, like you already offered from what I gathered from I_F's post.

I can understand if they develop but to have power like that just because they can develop, and you BARELY ever talked to them, if some at all.. Shows how you pick your staff..

Several points:

I agree with Iron Forge's quoted post 100%.

Okay, I don't know what specifically is bothering me, but i am having a TOUGH time reading this thread. I don't mean content, but between the inline ads (which serve only to take up space, as I have adblock), the wide left bar, or what. Edit: I think the left bar is the biggest problem.

It's really weird being on an equal level with Tural.
