Time travel a possibility?

I always thought that there was a different universe where each and every possible outcome is happening. I think time travel is possible but if it were then wouldn't we see people from the future now?

AND WE'LL LEAVE YOU TO YOUR.......YOUR...........MOOSEY FATE.

It would be great if we could go back in time, and it was for public use, and it was retard/terrorist proof. I would fix so many mistakes I've made.

Time travel theories and debunkings can go on indefinately. So much so that after theorising and trying to make it happen for so long, you'd wish you were able to do it so you wouldn't have done what you just spent all that time doing.

But that's only the case if you forget to use the flux capacitor to divide by zero.

To answer the question though...No.

if u believe there are different universes then by time traveling and changing the past you would just make a new different i guess you could call it a different time, it would be different from the time u left but the time u left and the time u created would both exist at the same time. so basically if we did figure it out we would never know " as stated on page one " because the people that would do it would most likely never come back to the original time they left.

Time machine is not possible neither is time travel, because it would:
1. create paradoxes
2. Time is a measurement not a road. it cannot be traveled.
3. the concept of time is a man made creation. trying to time travel would be like trying to travel the empire state building.

You misunderstood. Your analogy was terrible. Making a terrible analogy was not your intention, do not claim it was. It was not the point. The point is clear, your method is wrong. Your terrible analogy didn't prove anything except your incapability of making a good analogy to explain a complex concept.

sorry, but i could not come up with a better one on the spot. I was just trying to express that time, since it is a man made concept is similar to that of a man made structure, because as a concept time is unique, which is one of the reasons why I could not come up with a better comparison.

I time travel every day. But I don't call it time travel, I call it sleep. :| It seems like when you fall asleep, to me it may seem like 5 minutes I'm asleep, but wake up 7-8 hours later. So my time machine only lets me go to the future. Not past. :P

This is true. I wake up in the morining, and I usually have thoughts like this...

Phil's brain: OHSHI! It's been 5 minuites since the alarm went off you baffoon! Get the crap out of bed!
Phil's Body: No, go back 5 minuites please.
Phil's brain: That's not possible you cheese muffin. Time goes forwards.
Phil's Body: Zzzzzzz...
Phil's brain: Are you listening to me?
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

Or am I just going crazy...
