Website Hosting Services?
Godaddy is a horrible company. They scam their clients[1], and they are extremely unprofessional[2].
[1]: Traffic Blazer: You may or may not be aware, but once you submit your site to a search engine, you never have to do it again. the spider will crawl your site, and update that search engines index. It will take no more than 5 minutes to submit your site to Yahoo!, MSN, Google and ask. It's also free.
[2]: What kind of web hosting company would use the marketing techniques godaddy uses? If you are looking for a host to run your business website from, and you seriously going to appreciate this advertising campaign?

Also, their control panel is horrible.... I can go on and on...
Tural - Are you familiar with the term overselling?

Alright. Let's get going.
The former of your two points is an option, not a requirement. Furthermore, it has no relevance to this thread. What GoDaddy provides in other services has no impact on his needs for a site. Point invalidated. Abstract references being brought into a specific situation.
Marketing is not a direct indiactor of service. Point invalidated.
Control panel, again. Get over it.
Yes, I am. However, now we are no longer discussing HM, as you've changed the subject, so how about you pick one argument and stick to it, rather than jumping all over the place trying to scramble for points why you're right and everyone else is wrong.
That all being said, I still don't like GoDaddy. I never have, and I would never use their service. However, your points are completely obscure and you're just arguing because you're trying to force your opinion on him as though it is the sole solution, ignoring all other competitors and degrading them with such ridiculous points. I never even said your solution was bad, I just said it was cost-inefficient, which it is. It looks like a fine host, but you didn't bother asking me to elaborate, seeing as how I made a very narrow point, you simply inferred my opinions about the rest. I advise you to stop being arrogant in your opinions and spend a little more time evaluating the situation as a whole, not specifics within it. You make it very difficult for yourself, due to the ineptitude of your arguments.
That doesn't even make sense. You just missed the entire point of my post.
You said I claimed 'professionalism is not a factor in a company.' That is a lie.
I claimed 'marketing is not a direct indicator of service.' That is true.
This thread is about the service, not the company. You tried to use marketing as an indicator of service, which is an invalid point.

That's hilarious.Soskel wrote:You're horrible at arguing.
That's how you win an argument? you tell someone to 'get over it'.
Instead of invalidating my points, you give me some reasons godaddy is a good host.
kthxbi
You are the one who can't make a valid point.
I didn't end the argument, I ended that point you kept posting, because you think that posting it over and over makes it a good point.
I said I don't like GoDaddy, so why the hell would I give reasons why I find them good? That's just retarded.
I look forward to when you realize you've dug a hole so deep that no amount of harassment is going to redeem any sort of credibility. I'd advise you to just cut your losses and leave, as you're only making it worse for yourself while helping your opposition by swaying public opinion towards it.
That's a Windows server setup, if you choose Linux you get 11.Tural wrote:All of the plans list one FTP user.
