I have no problem with goths or any other stereotypical fashion group. My biggest pet peeve happened to me a couple days ago...I was sitting outside at school during lunch, watching my friends practice a performance for class, and there's these emo-ish kids outside as well, and they were just mocking my friends, being all "LOOK GUYS IM COOL I HAVE A SWORD HURR HURR," which is a literal quote. The thing that bugs me I've seen those same people whine about how nobody can accept them.
I have no problem with anyone, as long as they aren't hypocritical and are all about themselves.
I also don't have a problem with things like guys wearing women's clothing, or the other way around. It's not for me, but if they want to, go right ahead. Proof: Eddie Izzard, action transvestite.

I don't really care what a person looks like or what they believe, I don't usually start conversations, but if somebody talks to me, I'll talk back, no matter if they're goth, homosexual, or even a freaking alien, doesn't matter to me, as long as they're not an a-hole. I don't really do all that discrimination stuff, it's just people trying to get attention, like some in this thread have said about goths and so on.

I think Noobraska is a pretty cool state. eh grows corn and doesn't afraid of anythng.

I see it as the way people dress reflects upon their attitudes. So if I see someone in all black with eyeliner and 30 piercings then I'm thinking well this guy must be a crazy or have some serious problems. I don't want to offend you or anything. From what I've seen on here you seem like a nice guy but that's just me be stereotypical like most others are.

I judge people all the time. When I see them I make an assumption of them. I label them with whatever they seem to fit in as. If they prove me wrong, that's great. For instance, one of those kids that fit in as punk or whatever, high top converse, dyed mohawk, etc. turned out to be one of the best athletes in our whole PE class. If people talk to me, I'll usually talk to them. The only people I really don't like are tards, straight up g's, and major assholes. Generally, I dislike people who aren't competent (when referring to school).
As others pointed out, if you don't care what people think of you or if they aren't worth your time, then why are you asking?
I also hate seeing those fucking skater kids wearing skin tight pants. WHAT THE FUCK?!!!!! It pisses me off so much. Same with those 'scene' kids or whatever. Emo shit (as their labeled).
But again, I generally don't care. Some of the coolest people I've met on Xbox Live (yes, on xbox live) I've found out wear 'goth' clothes. Doesn't matter to me. I usually hang out with my friends who wear generic clothes and I usually don't branch out too far.

I personally cannot stand gothic/emo people. I don't know any kids who dress up like that who are in honors, or even care about school in general. Maybe the time you spend going out and buying fishnets that fit your arms, putting make up on, or putting your hair up in ridiculous fashions you could be studying or doing something useful.
Although, I'm being hypocritical posting on an internet forum about video games...

There's plenty people from other clique type things who don't care about school. I knew a 'goth' girl who got straight A's and is attending college early.Dsoup wrote:I personally cannot stand gothic/emo people. I don't really mind it, I find the clothes a little over the top, and the attitude a bit strange. But it's none of my business what people decide to do to express themselves. I used to be a goth in Junior High, but it was just a lame phase.

Yeah, I know. I was just talking about the ones that do. I always wear baggy jeans (not reallllly low or huge, but not fucking skin tight).Senor_Grunt wrote:Not all skaters wear skin tight pants. Hah some people think I'm a goth, because I have long hair. I say "No man, I'm a metalhead." And they think thats the same thing, it is in some cases but not always, I don't think people should care how other people express themselves though. I also think the "goths don't care about school" thing is dumb, because I know plenty of goths that do.

I'll be honest.
I'm completely appauled at the way a lot of you act.
Talk to a goth some time. I'll bet you that 9 times out of 10 they won't believe in Satan.
Fashionable reason? Excuse me for not being a part of the fashion police.
My Army uniform backs up the attention theory? No offense, but I find you ignorant. It's not for attention, it's for something called respect, whether you understand what that is or not. At least some of us have what it takes to step up to the plate and defend people like you who don't appreciate it. Where would we be without military force?
On the contrary, many "goths" wear what they do to conform, rather than the opposite. In my school, a lot of the Freshmen wear that stuff because that's what the group that they want to fit in with wears.
Be a bit more open-minded, though. I'll be honest, I do the same a bit, but it's more on the way someone acts than on what they wear. If I see some 120-pound guy in an XXXL shirt and pants with the waist at his knees, and he can't talk worth a ****, and acts like a complete idiot, then yeah, I assume he's uneducated and isn't worthy of the welfare given to him by the government. If a person wearing the same clothing were to talk to me in an intelligent manner and use half-proper English, I'd have a great deal of respect for him.

Hm. I don't get that stereotype much. Maybe that's because I don't worship anything. Sure, I'll go to church with a friend if they ask, but I sure as hell don't worship the devil. It's kinda ironic to worship something that you don't believe in.noxiousraccoon wrote:Does the stereotype worshiping the man with the horns ring a bell?

And i wont even get started on joining the army in the first place, thats just stupidity in my book.

I wear jeans and a shirt quite often, to be honest. I pretty much wear whatever feels comfortable. Hell, I'll wear dress slacks with a button-up shirt and a tie on occasion.noscottno wrote:I wear jeans and a shirt pretty much every day, with the occasional sweatshirt if I need it. I support people no matter what they wear. Who are you to decide if it's right or not, socially acceptable or not. I personally don't see them doing it for attention but regardless, what is it to you? Why let it bother you if they recieve the attention or even try to attain it? Is it affecting you personally? I've worn the huge pants before, i've dressed in all black, I have two piercings, I've gone to school in a tight shirt before. Granted these are occasions and not an everyday thing. I'm a very nice and respectful person. No matter how I dress, it doesn't change my personality. When I wore those huge pants, I was still respectful and opened doors for people and did just nice things for people. Those people actually witnessed that no matter how somebody dresses, they can still be a genuine person. If it does, then they need more than just someone telling them how to dress.
Bottom line, if you can't accept how somebody dresses, then you are ignorant and are closed minded.
As for wearing girl pants...weren't woman the first to wear piercings? So why do guys? It's the same damn concept. I'm not sure why they were them but if they are comfortable, i'm all for it. I wear clothes for comfort, not for fashion, why doesn't anyone else?
I have long-ish black hair. Does that make me emo? If you say yes, then stop talking now. I'm nowhere near emo. I'm happy with my life. I have little to complain about, nor do I cut myself.
I'm fucking amazed at how some people can act. If you can't be more open minded I don't think you deserve to live in a social setting.

Earings have been worn since before recorded history. Ear piercings conform to the gender's genitalia like pants are designed to, right?...kibito87 wrote:As for wearing girl pants...weren't woman the first to wear piercings? So why do guys? It's the same damn concept.

You don't need to wear those clothes by any means. But you do anyways for attention.
I hope you were going to keep them company, otherwise you're going to sound incredibly hypocritical due to the following:XBC-Requiem wrote:Sure, I'll go to church with a friend if they ask

Not in a war?... Give me one good reason why you as an individual being in the army justifies appreciation for you as a member of the army. Not the army as a whole, but you.XBC-Requiem wrote:Where would we be without military force?

So by the process of elimination, being that friends aren't the case, as stated by you in retorting to said conforming. We're left with... oh look! Attention!XBC-Requiem wrote:I don't care for attention, really. I have friends, so why do I need additional attention?

Good save on the numerous-syllable-count vocabulary choice. Not sure why you went for the desperate save to throw out intelligent verbatim. You were already doing a great job with such eloquent statements, such as:XBC-Requim wrote:think I'm smarter than most of the people you've ever talked to, sir.
