Its time I got a say in this (hence the username).
The UI is not the worst (well it is pretty bad).
The case/shell looks like crappa-dappa-doodoo
If you took that you on the street and put it on your back:
1:Um sir?
2:Yes?
1:You seem to have a deformed ape on your back.
2.Uuh, thats my PC.
1.Then your PC is deformed.
err whatever.
Mac's come with chrome/steel shells.
PC's have plastic dull ones.
Macs look like artistic creations of wonder on the inside.
PC's have all the hardware stickin out and crud.
The screens are better, again, CHROME.
While PC screens are PLASTIC, yet again, dull.
I only hate PC's because they look like crap, that has been marinating inside of a dead cow for 5 months. >.>

Is a PC case the new extension to your penis?
Seriously, my PC is under my desk, the only time I see it is if I'm:
A) Changing a disc.
B) Turning the PC on.
C) Plugging in a USB device.
None of my friends have ever commented on it, I've never commented on their cases...it's just such a minuscule thing to make such a major decision over.

Win.
Sooooo true.
I'm going to buy a brand new Mac, proceed to remove its innards and smash them on the pavement. I will then carry the empty case home and rework my pavilion into it. Just for you. Bitch.I only hate PC's because they look like crap, that has been marinating inside of a dead cow for 5 months. >.>

Where do you live? SO I CAN COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND WRING YOUR NECK!!! >______________<
I also hate PC's because i bought a BRAND NEW PC four years ago, then I typed a 900 word essay 1 day after.
And you know what?
Yes you know what.
Dammed microsoft Word crashed the hekka out of the computer! Blue screen and all, and a loud beeping noise that wouldnt stop.
Then the power supply fried, then the my room and half the house shorted out!
"Im never getting a PC again" I said.
And then four years later i am posting on a Halomods forum on my G5.
Is that a good reason to hate PC's?
EDIT: OH TEH NOES!!!!1!!!!11
This is turning into another Mac vs PS battle again.
kthxbye

From all this talk about blue screens, I take it you are all using E-Machines or something of the sort? Well, when it comes to computers you usually get what you pay for, if your using a $200 computer, yea of course it's going to be crappy, but what kind of Apple computer can you buy for $200? Well, you could probably get the case and the screen for that much. If you do stupid things with your computer; like downloading stuff with Limewire, then yes, you WILL get a virus and you will get problems, like the computer freezing. But then again, PC has some pretty kickass 3rd party virus/spyware protectors, along with a wide assortment of firewall programs.

Ya know what? I'm gonna be honest. I'm a mac user. I've used macs for my whole life, and I love em'. But to tell the truth, windows's are a HECK of alot better when it comes to gaming, which is what this forum is about (halo, anyway). Macs however are prettier and easier to use. THE SOLUTION: Save your money and buy one of those shiny new intel macs for a bigillion dollars, and get boot camp or whatever to run windows on it.
(That's what I'm doing as soon as I can earn the before mentioned bigillion dollars)

I can't believe I'm doing this, but:peterblue wrote:Should be "afore mentioned". Anyways, I prefer PC, because I have it. My brother has a Mac, and it sucks, in my opinion, because I don't know his password, and it doesn't have Mozilla Firefox.WarHampster wrote:before mentioned bigillion dollars

MacsForever, I never seen a completely Steel Cased Mac. What do you mean PCs have Ugly Cases. My case is BEAUTIFUL to me at least. The windows OS is not at all sloppy. Maybe you should learn how to navigate around it before you judge it. I use a Mac every day all day at school for Art. I like them but they do not come at all close to my PC. If you think this looks like a deformed Ape you should get you eyes checked out. I see a beautiful metal black case with a silver cover and awesome red/blue lighting.

Also I highly doubt this is true:

time to end this argument
"Macs are better because they look better"
if you buy a pc based on external looks, i've got an empty case in my room with paint and glitter all over it. i'll even glue some shiny aluminum foil on the side just for you, if you pay for shipping (starting bid $300).
"Macs are light-years ahead of windows in security"
my hacking exposed (5th edition if you want specifics) has a full chapter on inherent windows NT vulnerabilities in things such as windows networking protocols, and privilege escalation attacks, etc. and guess what? it also has a chapter just for UNIX, meaning, what with OSX and beyond, Mac = UNIX. it's based off the MACH kernel in fact. oh, and before you go saying "unix = secure", there's an entire chapter in my handy little book as well as thick as the windows chapter entirely on UNIX vulnerabilities. so yes, it's actually alot easier than people believe to hack an OSX+ system, it's just that the fact is that there's more windows machines than Mac machines, and worm to harvest a botnet that's aimed at the minority is a dumb idea.
plus, there's the fact that Macs have proprietary hardware. want to get a DX10 card for the next generation of games, like crysis? instead of just buying and installing one, like on a pc, you're gonna have to buy an entire new system. GG apple.
bottom-line, microsoft fanboys are unfounded in hating Macs and thinking PCs are better at everything. Mac fanboys are even worse - rabid even - in defending their preference without bothering to get informed. it's down to what one you like better, but i prefer PCs.
Besides, PC with linux and windows dual boot (or virtual pc even) is probably the best way to go for hardcore PC enthusiasts. if you just want all the next games, get hold off on getting a monster pc with vista until the first DX10 games are out. if you just want to have a pc to surf the web and do essays for school, both are fine, but you may want to get a Mac because you won't have updates to install every now and then, if that's even a significant factor at all.

How? I've never had my PC crash and I've had it since 2005. I've even kept it on for a week once while I was rendering something in Vue. It didn't crash once, and I even ran AIM and Firefox during the hours it was rendering while I was awake.Macsforever wrote:Thats bacause you bought a high-end windows.
I bought mine for $800 and it crashed after one day.
