Or anyone with common sense and knowledge about what a nuke is

IT looks good...I'll get home premium with my next orsm lappy. Windows media centre + xbox360
Anyway, anyone read about the voice recognition bug? People can send other users audio files which say commands, which activates the windows speech and excecutes the command
eg: select all, delete, shut down is said in an audio file and then windows does it. http://www.tgdaily.com/2007/02/02/micro ... a_exploit/

yes it's like a Dictation program. What you do is with your microphone you go through this 20-30min session on your computer. During this session you a given sentences which you must speak. After a while the computer learns your voice and how you talk. Then you can completely control your computer by voice. Saying "Start" brings up the start menu. what ever you say into you mic is typed out. It's very cool.
It is old, But Vista's version is the most accurate I've ever used. Lots of people aren't impressed by Vista right now. There aren't any games for it yet, I guarantee when Halo 2 Vista and Crysis release, Vista will pwn.
That's what sells, exclusives, and currently Vista's features aren't all that exclusive, many being improvements over old things or supposed copies of others...Wait for a few Vista exclusive apps and games and people will definatley start using it...

bad = expensive, and resource-heavy running aero alone. also, it's the biggest target for hackers and crackers right now, and in the future; my friend's vista pc was just recently raped by a virus. also, the features it has (other than gaming support) aren't really worth paying for.Not a discussion of what windowing system is better, either. -shadowkhas
pesronally, i won't buy it, not until i have DX10 equipment. the only thing it has to offer me for the high price is games, so until then, i'm not interested.
Where have people gotten the idea from that Aero is a resource hog? It isn't...All you need is a compliant 3d card (and not have Home basic or starter) and it works fine...
And by compliant I don't mean the fancey stuff, I mean basically any 3d card accepted by windows vista, that includes my shitty nVidia GoForce 6400 (I think thats what it is) will work.
And another thing, since windows Aero uses your video card's GPU, it provides better performance and stability than the "normal" software-based UI, which requires the PC's microprocessor to do all the work.
But alas, I am a person without Vista, and the many many reporters out there screaming how Vista is redundant, expensive and that you need to buy a whole new pc to use it will probably convince most people otherwise, (This was the same thing with Windows 200 > Windows XP...Maybe not such a heavy emphasis on upgrading your pc, but it was there.)

This is what I am looking forward to when I get my Vista computer. Take some time and look at the screenshots and trailers. It is an RTS (real time strategy, like age of empires) game that can hold up to 16 players online. There is also a rumored FPS mode, but has not been comfirmed.

Not to start a fight, but it's a shame this has been in the Mac OS since OS 9, an OS practically 8 years old..
EDIT: Don't respond to this.. probably shouldn't have even posted it, but the temptation was too much.
I'm gonna try and hold off as long as possible for the Vista switch, since I'm gonna have to upgrade/build my systems. Plus I'm not too fond of the DRM stuff in it now (I'm really not gonna like it when/if they force it onto XP through an update). Plus Vista's hardware support is pretty crappy fron what I hear. I'm avoiding it for now, since I really have no need for it.
Plus Linux suits my needs/wants better anyway
