when you hack your ipod with IPL there is the fact that you get a PDA and a IPOD for $300 which is better than some *cough *cough Microsoft product *cough that costs 2 1/3 X as much.

1) ...So? A PPC can play music and videos too...
2) My PPC costed $300 - And it didn't require me to void a warranty, and can do more out of the box than an iPod can after being hacked.
3) Microsoft doesn't make devices...

which brings me back too the point that it is NOT an ipod and it does NOT have 30GB of memory and that it does not thave the nice music and video interface and fuctionality of the Ipod! and its still not made by apple.

yes but in comparison id rather have a IPOD with hacks rather than a blackberry or some of the lower quality pda's. im not saying an ipod beets a 700 dollar machine if thats what you are thinking.

Nice interface? I HATE the iPods interface, with a PPC I can just literally tap a song name and it plays.
And who the hell uses all that space?
I don't even have a 30gb hard drive in my notebook!!!
you may not like the ipod interface but it does have much more functionallity than most mp3 or pda's. and another point i would like too make is only ipods can play music off of itunes music store and it can play video podcasts and normal Podcasts!

i have about 500 songs and about 400 videos and movies. and the rest of the space is halo ce and pc loaded up so i can take it too freinds houses and play there off my Ipod.

WiFi. Us PDA users can go to the local Starbucks and watch podcasts directly, without even downloading them (except for the buffering)
wifi is for laptops.
and there are so few places in alabama that actually have wifi do to the fact that everyone here is a redneck it dosent matter if you can get wifi on a pda cause there wont be a single acsses point. and i do delete my podcasts but i have so many like diggnation and podtacular and FTC that it still takes up a shit ton of space. each episode of diggnation is like half a gig!

Um, COMPRESSION. If I can get a 2 hour long movie to be 200mb on 320x236 (Chronicles of Riddick, Fullscreen, the widescreen would have been smaller), then you can get a half hour episode of some podcast-ed show down to at least 50mb.
And WiFi is actually for portable devices, the wireless format in laptops is no longer referred to as "wifi" but just Wireless G.
dignnation is compressed h264 which is very high compression so thats not the anwser. and theres still no acess points here we dont even have a starbucks lol!
