If you mean the case, I must ask you, have ever seen a Alien PC? If you mean the the themes, do you realize you can use custom themes on Windows? Alot of people say that Mac has way better image, sound, and video editing programs, while that may be true with what you start out with on a new Windows vs what you get on a Mac, But, since Windows is more widely used, there are alot of third party programs that could probably do just as good as the Mac ones.auerhantheman1 wrote:Yes, well Apple has this wonderful product called Mighty Mouse which has a lame name but is actually pretty cool. - I've never had problems.
- See above.
- Explain what you would prefer.
- How does that matter to you?
-7 Xbox 1's and 6 Xbox 360's later, you lose faith in product reliability. Also, I've had Windows inexplicably bog down and get sluggish for no reason and virus and spyware scans indicated a clean system - wound up needing a reformat.
-There's always flaws being discovered in Windows, constantly. Linux is open source and it's far more secure than Windows is.
-Apple has innovated with features and a great GUI that Windows lacks. Almost all of Vista's new features are direct ripoffs of existing OS X features.
-It can show over to the fact that they are more concerned with making money than keeping satisfied customers.

-Um...I've never even had to call support, and over the course of 16 years, we've had atleast 9/10 PCs all running XP and never had a virus.DWells55 wrote:-Of course more people don't have problems. -How can your Xbox break? Did you solder something wrong, or did a cable break or something? I've never even heard of an Xbox having errors other than by someone doing physical damage to the thing by themself...in short, if it breaks, it's your fault. I'll admit the 360 has had some widespread problems, but even the PS3 and Wii have them too...360 has just had more time for people to complain about them, and there's much more pros than cons. I've had 2 360s since launch day and neither has had a problem.
Also, reformatting is a healthy thing to do for your hard drive, and recommended to do every once in a while...it's not like you can't put stuff you want to save on another hard drive and transfer it back over. If it bogs down, you may have too many programs running, just get more RAM, or uninstall/delete/end some unnecessary processes.
-Linux also has far less programs...once again, if you're not an idiot, you won't run into problems with security vulnerabilities and such.
-Apple has a fancy GUI...like Windows isn't skinnable? So what if Vista's features copy off of OSX...the very first Windows had stolen/copied code from other operating systems if I remember correctly. In my opinion, Vista's GUI looks great, and I've never had a problem with it slowing down my PC/being a memory hog like everyone else complains about.
-Wait...a company wants to make money? Oh fuck. Welcome to the business world, it's called competing with the other companies.
when you have an error, it automatically sends it. i am constantly getting updates, none of my windows computers have really failed me since i started running windows xp. i've never had problems with security, i justdon't rely on only microsoft, i use spy sweeper, norton antivirus, and zone alarm pro too. i would call xbox live quite an innovation, they are the first to do online gaming right. greedy? i dont think so, they donate billions to charity all the time. i did a playtest group with them and i got a free copy of windows xp professional sp2, thats roughly a $300 value!DWells55 wrote:My issues with Microsoft:

Well, I havn't seen an Alien PC, so I don't know how they look. I realise there are custom themes on PC, my friend always goes on about a mac-like one that he got. As for the programs, I don't do much editing anyways. I just think that there are more features built in, like spotlight, dashboard, and expose to name a few. And built-in features almost always fit better with the OS than third-party ones.Ombre wrote:If you mean the case, I must ask you, have ever seen a Alien PC? Haha, this thread is rather funny...
Although I should have seen it coming in a site thats about halo, which is published by Microsoft who then owns the xbox and 360...But I more asked why people disliked Microsoft because everywhere I go people say they don't wanna give Bill Gates their money or something...
I thanks DWells for actually giving responses though
and the others but notably DWells55
Any other dislikes? Or do we want to say how much we like them
(no sarcasm or negative tones being used here...Or in this sentence explaining it)

Windows is designed for developers, developers, developers developers.
Also, it's so annoying the way people refer to Microsoft as "M$" what the hell is up with that?

They're in direct correlation with each other.

Once again, this coming from a mac user: Regardless of what I might have said in the past, PC's aren't as gay and virus-lidden as I first thought... you only hear stuff from the people who actually had problems.. there are millions of people, and only thousands have problems. Pretty good I'd say (though, of course, Mac people generally don't have those problems ;p)
