its been that way for a while but now that alot of the commanders are arguing about what to do over there who knows what could happen.WaywornMmmmm wrote:...

amen, everyone is entitled to what they think and no one is going to change that. as FleetAdmiralBacon said the President is going to mess up they always have to some extent and always will i think we should be looking towards the future now more than ever and stop dwelling wholeheartedly on what we did but on what we should do.FleetAdmiralBacon wrote:Guys, listen, I've solved the whole war-in-Iraq thing!
Iraq never had Weapons of Mass Destruction they had Windows Mobile Devices. Saddam had an iPaq. It all makes perfect sense.
... But in all seriousness, I don't give a @#$% about politics. The President will always screw something up, no matter who they are, no matter what their party. I don't want to try and influence anyone, or provoke anything. I don't really have an opinion either way with the war in Iraq (was it justified or just stupid? I don't know, I don't really even want to know).
To Danke, i agree with part of FleetAdmiral's post i believe strongly in politics and know that they run our country "although not the way they should" but as for the president messing up its going to happen no matter how we vote.

Presidents always make mistakes. Sometimes they solve them, sometimes they can't. When it's just plain outrageous, the American people should recognize this and the president doesn't get reelected. So who the hell decided this wasn't one of these outrageous events? What, just because he absolutely failed the first term means he'll learn from his mistakes the second?
Granted, Hoover didn't begin the great depression, but he sure as hell couldn't end it, so the better man got the job. Same basic concept.

As I said, it's our own damn fault if we reelect someone who has already proven he can't do the job correctly.newbymodder wrote:as for the president messing up its going to happen no matter how we vote.

i was just thinking about this.
why do the people of the US want out of Iraq if we lived over there under the rule of sudam (think i spelled it right) we would want help, so why does the US want out if it is what we would want if we lived there.
p.s. ill have lots of facts im doing a project on Israel and Iraq in school throughout the year so random facts are on the way.

seriously there main oppressor is gone, Saddam, they don't really need us any more there liberated "not freed yet" they can work there own stuff out with out US help. as iv read more and studied more iv come to realize that we can't change the fact we went there and did what we did, even if the American people were under false pretenses "WMD's ect" . but we can strive to get our troops out of there and focus on defending us, because lord knows we have made alot more enemies now and the whole Iraqi think started after world war II when we gave the holy land to the jews, the muslim world then started to hate Americans more than they had before.

i agree with shadow about democracy, you can't just force it on people.
however, now that we've gotten rid of their government, then established a democracy, i'm not sure if we could pull out until it's able to support itself. personally, i really don't think it'll last long at all, but now that it's established wouldn't it be better to try to keep it going and give them a chance to try it out on their own than to leave immediately and let it crumble? i think the war was really pointless, and although they have what seems to be a better form of government now, we need to slowly pull out so they can walk on their own, because right now, things are just terrible over there, and we're making it worse by 'occupying' the country.

ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>
