I had a request to post this. From one of the Admins without an account here.On the subject of Modhalo:
I see some of you are concerned with the quality of Modhalo and whether or not its userbase is knowledgable in the subject of Halo Modding. I am sorry to hear that people such as yourselves would rather put down another site with a dedicated group of members and has been growing since its initiation instead of contributing yourselves. Is your goal not to better the halo modding community? Perhaps the information you spread across other sites may spark ideas among them who would not have realized them without the information. An unlikely person could have developed something worth recognition. But here you are squandering over a silly "forum war" because you believe yourself to be better. That may be the case but the time spent on this could be spent working for a better understanding of modding halo.
Also,
The feeling is mutual. It's nothing personal against you or your site; I just don't like a lot of people there.

Shouldn't it be a standard power cable...? As in, can't you use an old monitor power cable?JunkfoodMan wrote:The power cable for my monitor that I got today is faulty, so I had to order a new one.

The power cable for my monitor looks like a HDMI cable more then your basic power cable you would find on older CRT models/PSU's. Could be the male/female input/outputs for the monitor are different then thoes tapered box type configuration found on most.shadowkhas wrote:Shouldn't it be a standard power cable...? It's basically:
1. Grab disc from store (1 hour MAX.)
2. Do boot order junk and pop in cd (1 Min)
3. Do reformat with vista's formatting thingy (2 seconds)
4. Install OS (30 Mins)
5. Load desktop and all that other junk that you have to do after installing a os (2 Minutes)
6. Find drivers for everything, (45 mins.)
That adds up to like, 2:18:03.
