No.. because I never said it was legal. I wasn't defending the legality of shooting someone; only that it would be reasonable to do so considering the mindset and fear involved with someone breaking into your home. I backed it up by saying that I would likely shoot someone myself if they were breaking into my house and I felt that I couldn't get them down without use of a gun.. which considering my size, would probably be one of my only options since if I attempted to do anything else they likely would turn to deadly force to defend themselves. I never said in my post, but I basically referenced that I was willing to face the legal consequences of shooting someone in self-defense without attempting lethal force.. You're defending points that weren't challenged.

You're not legally able to shoot someone to incapacitate them when there are much better ways to do so. Hit them in the head, tackle them, lots of things to do that aren't considered deadly force. I already countered your point in my first post...

So, in a purely hypothetical situation,if a young lady of sorts with average build was confronted by 2 individuals in her own home.
She would not be legaly able to use a firearm in self defense, not by a lethal force but for instance shot the foot or knee [yes both being completely possible to be lethal].
She would face a higher charge than said individuals?

That is a circumstance in which an alternative force may be necessary.
My post even says "when there are much better ways to do so." Obviously those ways are not available to everyone, which is why the word "when" is there...

To clear all this unnecessary shit up: no, I would not be trying to kill anyone on my property unless they posed as a deadly threat to me. And if it did come to be drawing my firearm, it would (in most cases) be to just scare a trespasser off.
