Re: The Official Rant Thread
I think I have fucking skin cancer.
Re: The Official Rant Thread
For some reason, I'm really disliking the removal of the word censor.
Re: The Official Rant Thread
I blame it on MarsMartianMan. hahah.
Nah, I don't care about it. I do, however, think that there should be an option in UCP that allows us to disable/enable it.

The staff is probably expecting us to be "mature", and only use explicit words when we really need to. They're bound to change it back though.ScottyGEE wrote:For some reason, I'm really disliking the removal of the word censor.
Re: The Official Rant Thread
.. and yet the cursing that goes on here doesn't seem half as bad as anywhere else, forums or real life.
Just not removing this.
Re: The Official Rant Thread
I don't go to these other places. You don't know how I live. But by all means, please argue against why I don't like it, attempting to justify it because it can be worse elsewhere. Your argument is so strong that I feel I totally like cursing all the time now... But I won't
All I'm saying is that I don't like reading it here. I would ask that its not really argued with unless people who do it can justify it. Thanks anyway. I'm aware that it makes me a hypocrite and it makes me look like an oversensitive person, I'm just not a fan, nor looking to have it changed to suit my needs. I'm just complaining here ;p

Re: The Official Rant Thread
The admin could have just let members turn the censors on or off. This is a default function of phpBB3. Instead of doing that though, they just removed the censored words from the list. They could have made it optional to have the censor on. I'd say you should make a thread in the Suggestions board asking that they do this, since there's nothing stopping them from doing so, and it will benefit some users who wish to have it on.
Re: The Official Rant Thread
We'll see how much further people take swearing first.
Anyway, I turn on my xbox and in the spotlight channel, they're advertising that Big W (An Australian general store) is running a competition so you can win a 42" Plasma when you buy a new xbox 360. Isn't that jsut stupid? Advertising in an xbox 360 that you should buy a new one for a chance at getting a plasma?
It seems a bit strange, I guess it could work via word of mouth...But they're much better suited at finding different ways to advertise such a competition.

Re: The Official Rant Thread
Did you really just get heated over a post that wasn't an argument.. or even directed at you?
Just not removing this.

Re: The Official Rant Thread
Seeing as how each game in the Halo trilogy sports the M ESRB rating, and this forum bases itself upon the aforementioned series, I see no problem with swearing at all. And before any of you go saying, "Oh Numerical! You big dumb idiot you do realize that forums aren't actually part of the game nor do you have to be an avid player of the series in order to participate here!", I've got one thing to say: Fuck you. *gasp*boner*die*.
