This looks pretty sick. I'll have to stop by radioshack sometime and get the parts. The idea to put different capacitors on a switch is a really good idea.
I think I'll add a slower setting as well so I can conserve power. "Power Conserve," Normal," "Fast," and "Extreme."
I saw this earlier and thought it was pretty funny. there's no reason for me to overclock my calculator, but it's still interesting nonetheless.
you should add LEDs so you know when you're in what mode. just be careful, you don't want to go over 88mph with that thing.

I was thinking about lowering the "5" button on mine, maybe painting the outer shell two-tone green with a thin white pinstripe. After that, maybe add a rubber/carbon fiber grip with adjustable cup holder.
