1980 was a crazy year.

The United States and a few of it Allies protested the games and did not compete in them. Therefore Leaving the ever dominant USSR and Germany (Well at least the East Part) to rule the games. China Didn't have a team until the 1984 Olympics, in which the Eastern Bloc Countries boycotted and the U.S. Dominated.
