Ooh, assault weapons. I encounter the need for them so frequently that the ban was such a bother.

If his aides sent an inquiry to the South Carolina Democratic Party, and have shown full intent on paying the registration fees and filing the necessary forms, I'm pretty sure he's completely serious about appearing as an eligible candidate. The only problem he might run into is the questionable legality of running for both parties and falling somewhat short in a few of the requirements.

Umm, I can't believe people haven't noticed Ron Paul.
His agenda consists of:
  • *Reforming (or even abolishing) the IRS
*Stopping unconstitutional spending of OUR tax dollars
*Ending birthright citizenship for illegal aliens
That's just a small piece!

LIBERTARIANS FOR THE WIN!
Thank you.

Ron Paul is the only person running under the Republican Party that I like one bit. Better than Clinton or Obama, that's for sure.
I doubt he'd abolish the IRS though. Not having any government funding means there IS no government.

Wait a minute, scratch that, we're in debt and we're still running.

I think the government should take back their constitutional responsibility of printing money, instead of having a monopoly control our cash...
Thank you.

People have noticed him, but his stance on Iraq wont get him in office. If he changes his position on Iraq, he would have my vote. Though, staying relevant to this topic, Colbert running for president is a joke, its actually offending.

Are you serious, he is America, and you can too

Seriously though, I like Obama as of now, and if the election were tomorrow that's who would have my vote. Hillary seems like a calculating manipulative power hungry crazy woman. Obama was on the tonight show and said that he doesn't take funding from private interest groups, which is a plus.

His policies are weak. With that said, he is the only person I would vote for out of the popular-seeming front runners.

I just wish people would get their heads out of their asses, and think for themselves. I was talking to some people at school about politics (they claim to be very interested), and the only thing they could tell me was that Kucinich has a hot wife, and that's all that anyone knows, because they're spoon-fed that by the Daily Show.

Yay for contributive information on your candidates for President!

But in all seriousness, I would vote Obama over Clinton any day.

I'll try and find one. It was an article my dad cut out of a newspaper.

Edit: Found one.
The Washington Post wrote:In the Democratic primary, Colbert takes 2.3 percent of the vote -- good for fifth place behind Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (40 percent), Sen. Barack Obama (19 percent), former Sen. John Edwards (12 percent) and Sen. Joe Biden (2.7 percent. Colbert finished ahead of Gov. Bill Richardson (2.1 percent), Rep. Dennis Kucinich (2.1 percent) and former Sen. Mike Gravel (less than 1 percent).

It doesn't even matter. He can't (Or shouldn't, unless the surveyor is completely incompetent) even be an option in national surveys. He could win the primary in SC (Probably wont), and it wouldn't matter one bit.
