Note: Highest grade in my school is an A.

So I just moved from the east coast to the west coast(ish) area.
The Grading scale massively varies from coast to coast
and my GPA has dropped by .3 in the move.

Why?
There are no minus (-) grades on the east coast (or at least in my county)
There are no A+ grades on the west coast (or at least in this county)
A+'s were worth 4.3 on my GPA
All A+s were dropped to A's (4.0)
The Grading Scale is drastically different:

West ____ East
A+ (none) __ A+ (100)
A (94-100)__ A (93-97)
A- (90-93) __ A- (None)
B+ (87-89)__ B+ (90-92)
B (83-86) __ B (85-89)
B- (80-82)__ B- (None)
C+ (77-79)__ C+ (82-84)
C (73-76) __ C (77-81)
C- (70-72)__ C- (None)
D+ (67-69)__ D+ (74-76)
D (63-66) __ D (70-73)
D- (60-62)__ D- (None)
F (0-59) __ F (0-69)

As you can see, transferring to the West from the East coast makes:
A- == B+
B+ ~~ B
B- == C+ (Actually close to a B)
C+ == C (Actually close to a B-)
C == D
D+ == F

Moving has affected my GPA and my future.

If the above considerations were taken into affect, my GPA would bump up .1 instead of dropping by .3. That's not a fair grading system...

4.0 is max here and i agree its not fair in 6th grade i got a's in all my classes and i only got a 3.88 and my mom said she would buy me new gaming system thats under $300 if i got a 4.0 my first term.

Anyways, I would guess the lowest grade I have right now is a B, which is is Global History H. Highest is and A+ in Advanced Algebra 2 H.

BTW, I'm in 9th.

yes we have a gpa in middle school, atleast at mine.

my lowest grade is a F

and its in language arts i think, or is it literate well I don't know.my highest grade is a b or a c.

Computer Applications - A
AP US History - B+
Symphonic Band - A
German 3 Honors - A
English 3 - A
Algebra 2 Honors - B+
Advanced Physics - B-

My GPA system owns, a 90 in a regulars class is a 4.0 91 = 4.1, 92 = 4.2 etc. and 100 (these are A's) is a 5.0. 80-89 (these are B's) goes from 3.0 to 3.9, 75-79(this is a c) goes from 2.5 to 2.9. 70-74 (these are D's) goes from 2.0 to 2.4. 69 and below (these are F's) is 1 and IDK if it goes below, I've never gotten an F on a report card. This is the same with advanced classes except you add 0.5 to your GPA, and with honors and AP classes you add 1.0 to your GPA, so you can get up to a 6.0

i did crappy my freshman and sophomore year, so my GPA's only a 2.8, so i need to bring it up.

All I can say is this: Do your best during your Freshman and Sophomore years. Coming out of middle school sucks, because in middle school your grades really don't matter and you bring that attitude into your Freshman and Sophomore years... So personally i'd try to do good in Middle School as well.

Besides, Freshman and Sophomore years are the easiest classes anyway, so there's no reason why you should start out high school with a boatload of Ds, Fs, and Cs. You'll need the good grades to help out your slightly lower grades in your Junior and Senior years (assuming you take slightly more than the actual requirement, like 4 years of math instead of 2-3, etc)

Just saying this, because after awhile you get burned out and don't want to work anymore. At least, that's me. I started out as a freshman with a 4.0, Sophomore I think I was at a 3.8, Junior a 3.5, and now i'm back to a 3.8 but that's subject to change, seeing how i haven't even finished the first quarter

i can pull my grades up to C's and B's got a shit load of work to do i was like "who gives a shit about grades" them my parents and my friends snapped some sense into me.
