Bush is a great president because he's a nice guy. He could nuke canada tomorrow, but as long as he still has that drawl in his speech and that sparkle in his smile, he's a good president to me.

Thomas Jefferson would like a word with you.gh0570fchurch wrote:I wouldn't go so far as to say that.OwnZ joO wrote:It's against the ideals this country was founded on.
1. Iraq - Solution: Don't do anythingAs for "*** bush", I'd like to see 10 things he did wrong, and 10 foolproof things you would have done instead. Exactly, there aren't 10 foolproof things, therefore your logic is severely flawed. Until you've got some real statements to make, I could care less what you say.

And tomg44, any respect that I might have had for you; it's gone now.
Good job.
Will everyone stop Expressing there love and/or Malice for the Presidents(past, present, or future) it's oh so annoying, and no one cares, and no I don't care that you have the constitutional right to express your feelings for the president (past, present, or future), just don't talk about it, Because this topic happens to pretain to the Resignation of US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. NOT your idea's of the president. Mkay Playas?

I didn't say that my definition of American would be the same as yours, maybe I define American for myself multiple ways and chose to use American that way. I just believe that pissing on the bill of rights and whatnot isn't in his job description.Tural wrote:That's not an operational definition either. Provide some clear evidence that says "This is what it means to be American." (FYI: There isn't any.)
I can't see how you can tell that not doing anything in Iraq would have helped. No one knows how things would have turned out if we hadn't.Dan!! wrote:1. As for Katrina, I'm sure bush had his hands full... I'm not trying to support him (i'm anti-bush, to tell the truth) but there had to be something he was doing during that time. Now, I don't remember what his excuse was, but if he was smoking weed at his Texas Ranch at the time and ignored phone calls, then I take back everything I said.
As for Alberto Gonzalez, he is the one you've been hearing about for things like those 8 US attorneys that got sacked. Ever heard of John Ashcroft? He came before Gonzalez.
If we did not invade, Worse things than 9/11 we bound to come about. Just think of it as high school drama, they started it first. ;PDan!! wrote:Hundreds of thousands of people wouldn't be dead. Please, PLEASE do not confuse pre-war Iraq or Hussein with 9/11 or Al Qaeda.Armed Civilian wrote:If we did not invade, Worse things than 9/11 were bound to come about. Also, absolutely nothing to do with this guy. I'm going to make a fresh Iraq topic and hope Tural doesn't lock it and point to the old one.

I wasn't Dan!! 9/11 wasn't the reason we went into Iraq, if that's what you're implying. The reason we are staying is because terrorists have followed us there. That and sectarian violence.Armed Civilian wrote:I wasn't Dan!! I was just saying thats how we got into Iraq and thats why we are staying in Iraq.
