communism?!?! lame
just wanted to see if anyone supports communism, I DO

Long Live Malolo!!!!!1111one11
I can't see why a kid under 15 (assumption) supports communism, I doubt you even fully understand the different political approaches. If you do, then I stand corrected. But judging from yuor signature image and choice of words, I'd say you were too young to understand fully, and say you 'support' it just to be different.

Ok, if by ftw you mean "for the win", I say no no sir, no no. Socialism in easier words, is the jacking of my stuff to give to others who dont have it and who are need of it. If by ftw, you mean "fuck the world", I agree. I dont know about yall but today's democrats, which really should consider themselves socialist democrats, absolutely drive me insane. I cant stand picking up my paycheck just to find myself short of money just to give someone their unemployment/welfare/medical check.wanksta wrote:socialism ftw
And dont even start me on the other democrat created taxes that most of us dont even know about.

wanksta, I definitely agree...let me use an example that my parents have experienced. They both grew up in Poland in the 1960's and 1970's. Now, they by no means say it was the best form of government, because there still was greed and corruption, so nothing was executed the way it could have been, but they say that pretty much if you EVER had even the slightest pain, be it dental or otherwise, you could just go to the appropriate doctor for absolutely free, and every medical treatment was free. It was a VERY good health care system.
But, because the US is too entrenched in capitalism, you'll never see a decent health care system here provided by the government. Medicare and Medicaid are/are becoming great jokes, but the giant insurance firms and their lobbies definitely won't stand for getting rid of themselves in the name of better care for the people. Capitalism doesn't care about people that much sometimes.
noxiousracoon: I'm making an assumptionm here, but I'm assuming you support a nation that has tax cuts left and right, with the consequence of having a nation possibly more in debt than if they were taxing the populace?
A nearly uniform tax rate is laughable in America. If we taxed the rich more, and shifted our priorities, this COULD be the best government ever. We COULD pull off really great things if the people in power grow a pair and go for the people instead of who gives them $10,000 for their campaign. And then there's the American population, who in general, is completely apathetic, and I'm sure that the founding fathers (whose names just love to get thrown around by conservative Republicans) would be terrified. People don't CARE that their phones are tapped, because "they have nothing to hide." Too sadly, they don't realize that many governments we percieve as "bad" started with small changes and moved to dramatic things...
And in general politics, there is no good side anymore. Democrats are absolutely hand in hand with Detroit, refusing to push for legislation that would REQUIRE good gasoline mileage and efficiency in cars. Branching off of cars now...something also needs to be done about our planet. We've only got this one, last time I checked. The problem is, nobody has their priorities straight...do we want to first go after our oil dependence, which most of life as we know it depends on, or do we want to go to renewable energy, which will cure both that and our environment problem quicker. But, people are mostly concerned with filling up and the pump, so they just go for hybrid vehicles and act concerned about the environment. That's a big pet peeve of mine. UNLESS THE ENERGY SOURCE YOU GET ENERGY FROM IS RENEWABLE, IDIOTS IN HYBRIDS DON'T SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT.
Grr.
I think I'm done.

Truth is, what with a robotic workforce and the advancements in technology, a Socialist system - both economic and political - would work quite nicely these days. The only thing thing that truly holds Communism back is humanity's need to be better than everyone else. You need incentives to work? You want to be rewarded when you do more work?
The idea of equal work, equal pay, equal benefits is a great one. It would get people off of the streets as well, put them to work where they're best suited, and if such a job can not be found, there will always be a job out there that you can do.
If you want my views on the Socialist system, get me one AIM or MSN or Pan (server will be up in a few minutes, btw)
