I have been hearing about that. Some talk show host my dad listens to... Anyways, the guy was saying that it should have been the whoeveritisthatsellstheguns to blame. He went on about how they should say "'Okay, come back in ten days and i'll sell you the gun' so they can do a background check on the guy and make sure he hasn't commited any felonies and isn't mentally ill."

how do i get in contact with Mr. tompsion I want to help him with his reshace to stop games like this. Expsalcsly ones that teach you how to speel and horrable games like haloo.

omg i fucking hate people like jack thompson(theres a gun with the same name as him) who try to blame video games for corrupting people. its not the games damnit those people become maniacs for many different reasons. cho was obviously demented not by games but by a sort of mental illness and deppression. besides, only little four year old kids actually try to do stuff they see on games.
I honestly, don't see the problem with this guy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not siding with him. But he's just a jackass with no evidence to back up anything he says. He's just a guy who has a problem with video games, woohoo, get in line. It's not like he's making any difference, his only followers are naive ignorant soccer moms for the most part, but he may have even lost them. Either way, he's going to loose.

This shows how much of a tard he is:

It's a shame he's such a bigot and apparently immune to otherwise irrefuteable logic that he openly disrespects not only an entire group but also dead members of said group, essentially calling gamers monsters and blaming any gamer suicides on their 'evil addiction' or whatever hyperbole he's spewing out now.
Well how about this, Mister Thompson: I am an avid gamer. I have been gaming since I first got a computer in 1995, age five. I've been playing what would be classified as violent games since about age ten, and now at seventeen one of my favourite things to do when there's nobody free to go anywhere and hang out is to play said games, mainly first-person shooters with a fair bit of violence involved. I have a short temper, yes; but I've always had it, and if anything gaming gives me something to vent my feelings on so I don't go and do something stupid and/or harmful. I watch a lot of war movies too, so I guess I must be a complete lunatic just itching to shoot up some kids with my expert Halo training, right? Wrong. I can't even begin to describe how much I hate pointless violence. I hate seeing people die, in movies or in real life. The only reason I can put up with it in games is because I know they aren't real and they'll still be there next time I start over, not to mention most games I own don't go very far as far as character development goes. So you can take your ignorant, fear-mongering views, and preach them somewhere else. Preferably a mental asylum.
I just watched the last 2 parts of Band of Brothers for the first time and almost cried at least 5 times. Yeah, monstrous killing machine. Right.

He plans to enforce the M rating, saying minors can not buy the game. I'd like to see how he will monitor parents authorizing the sales. I know, here at least, that parents must be present for a minor to purchase an M rated game. I guess you could make people sign something, but that would be a massive hassle and would not curb people ordering online.
I bought Halo 3 Legendary Edition with gift cards. I'm 16. Sue me.

I've bought at least 5 M rated games, and I've never been questioned. No one asks for ID on things other than cigarettes and/or alcohol...otherwise, they could care less as long as you provide the money.Tural wrote:He plans to enforce the M rating, saying minors can not buy the game.
