Seriously, don't buy a PC from this guy, the specs you posted are a total ripoff and I bet the parts are a lot lower qualityt han the ones I posted.

Wrong lolz unless he uses the same motherboard the Dell cd won't install, I've tried installing XP on my custom built machine with Compaq discs and it wont go.

And everybody knows what an assumption does.......

In a way I'm on topic and in a way I'm offtopic...Vista is good, a good upgrade from XP easily, however in no way do the updated features and improvements warrent such a high price tag.

But! I think the topic is more on the hardware than the software currently :P
Get a computer that allows you to have 8gb RAM...Forget the rest of the stuff because the 8gb's of RAM wil cost you the same amount ;)

As comapred to what? Vista? No, the Ram will cost more then vista, 1GB sticks are like a hundred dollers. 8 x 100 = 800 :P I have unmatched math skills!

Enough of this Vista crap. This is not a discussion about Vista, it's about his computer. He can choose to get Vista or not based on his criteria and needs. The thread should be more about the hardware and pricing than about the OS he plans to run. There are an uncountable amount of reasons why he may want Vista, and nobody has any right to tell him that it sucks or whatever. Keep this discussion away from Vista arguments.

I think Athlons aren't supposed to go any higher than 70C. As long as it's below 70C and doesn't crash under high stress activities. If you can run SuperPi to the millionth place or so without a problem, you're probably fine.

I'd honestly recommend the X1950 Pro over the 7900GS, it's somewhat faster and can be had for $145. 7900GS is still a good card though.
