As surprising as it seems, some of these actually work. The sites work off getting revenue via the advertising on the site, they spend some giving away stuff, which creates more traffic to their site, and thus more revenue.Vallen1 wrote:LOLLOL why would people give away free stuff, like a xbox 360 or a Ipod?

If you don't believe it, ask Locke (one of the administrators of this forum), he got a free video iPod.

You understand the basis of advertising don't you? The site has advertisements from various companies; these companies pay them money based on the volume of traffic because they want to get their product out there. The more traffic that comes to their site, the more revenue they make from advertising. These companies use some of the advertising revenue to buy and give away this free stuff. People want free stuff, so they go to the site - more traffic, and thus, more revenue. Since the vast majority of people who visit the site never end up completing the offers, they don't actually end up having to give away that much stuff, and most of the advertising revenue is kept as profit.Vallen1 wrote:Revenue to there site?!?!?!?! Honestly, think before you start flaming.
EDIT: This ought to drive the point home:

What, is that supposed to prove something? That is an ad - not a site; read my posts, I am referring to free-pay sites, not ads. You are wrong, get over it. It's not the end of the world, let's just move on shall we?Vallen1 wrote:
As for Lowallyn, yeah, I think freepay.com is one of the legit ones.
