booting in linux is good for getting by client-side filters, but if the filter is server side, it won't help

If the school's IT people were smart, they'd disable the computers' ability to boot from a CD, and put a password on the bios.

My schools IT people are a bunch of idiots, they think disabling right clicking would stop you from copying and pasting.

Until now, I've never heard of having right clicking disabled as a security measure...what good would that do any way?

If you were really hardcore, you could still open up the computer and remove the motherboard's battery to reset the CMOS.

I don't even want to THINK what Fowler would do to us if we did that... >_>

I still have to try the "boot IE/Firefox off of the iPod" trick. But it says that the Internet is provided by the school District itself, but they have blocked my only Site that i used to get around stuff, which was www.the-cloak.com . Sadly, I know the IT kids, and all they do is find the best rated watchdog software off of CNET and buy it using the schools tech budget. (which is pretty cleaned out after they put OSX on all the Macs, and replaced G3's with G5s.) Our school doesnt even have XP on the classroom computers. >_>

That's why you don't get caught. I've opened up the cases of school computers a number of times. *grins as he glances at his processor, RAM, and video card*

The computers in my physics teacher's room were insanely slow, I can't remember the proccessor speed, but I can remeber that my graphics card was faster, and had more ram.

Hahah, that is always an option...but I think someone would notice, and if your network admin uses ghosting, it wouldn't make a difference. But hey, that is always a solution...

lol. Dell Optiplexes? That's what we have. The people in charge must think that kids at my school are too tech-stupid for there to be any need to put locks on them. 8)

haha good times with synchroneyes!

Download it here

Get the class id in the folder in you c drive

connect to other students and draw things on their screen! hahaha its sooo good

make sure you have a sub or your get in trouble.

and for the blocker try http://www.free.voyde.net
(under construction) but it works like a charm

Oh and its SynchronEyes not the normal synchronize
clever people put the word eyes in there

and for the right click thing some keyboards (ours) have a little button between the control and alt key on the left side of the keyboard that has a little menu on it drag your mouse over it and push it tada!

We get really bored, once we put halo on the school server and had kids in all their classes play it from the server haha
