Okay, I didn't mean to start an argument. I was just saying, in my opinion it would be beneficial to learn C++.

That's the same way that I thought THC, C++ in my opinion is definately worth it to learn, but it's difficult. If you want a good book, get the one i posted before. The guy explains everything clearly with great examples. He's also pretty funny throughout the book.

C# isn't an upgrade to C++..

Microsoft decided to dive into making a java like object oriented programing language. It uses a syntax closely related to C++, but its no-where near an upgrade for it. If anything, its an upgrade to Java.
