I start my drive back tomorrow night so i will have pics up next week, yes, biloxi got it bad too. the only positive in biloxi is that the homes where leveled so bad it was only slabs left. thousands of flooded homes from the broken levee that stood must first be torn down then rebuilt since they are NOT inhabitable. I went to a friends home where the levee broke, you will see the pics, it is a bio-hazard. The smell will stay in my memory forever, no words can describe it. the pics will not really capture what we saw, I would need gigabytes of storage, I stopped taking pics cause I was erasing pics for more destructive OMFG type of pics, but I did that a hundred times so I stopped. It was not just the lake water in the city, the sewers broke and it mixed in. Yes, some areas smelled of rotten meats, human sh*t, mold & mildew and clouds of silt left from the pumped out water.

The best way to describe it is for you to do this....

stand up and really look at your room, take it in, then visualize filthy water maybe 1-2 inches shy of your ceiling...that was my friends home. many areas were worse. What they showed on tv made it look like it was a few city blocks that flooded....LOL, no way, I drove it and saw the water lines, it was miles and miles.

Well, I will finish packing... later.
I gotta have more cow bell!

ah yes....

that seems like ages ago

i wonder how his family is doing right now
I am a member of Xavier's family, and just thought I would use this oppertunity to thank everyone at Halomods who posted after his death, it was a real comfort to us and was very touching to read what you had to say.

A year has gone by, and of course we are all finding it hard. Everyone in the family is looking after eachother this year, and will get throught it together. Christmas is never a good time for those who have lost family, but especially with the circumstances.

Thank you all, and have a happy and safe holidays.
