Pariah

Discuss. So far, I like it. In fact, it could be better than Halo 2 - judging on Single Player (as I personally didn't like H2's Single Player). Once I get XBL, I still have to judge the online play mode. Pariah has good gameplay generally. The Havok ragodll physics are enough to keep the player entertained for a while, as well as the very decent ability to upgrade weapons. Too bad it lacks split-screen though.

Heh, the storyline is far better than Halo 2's.

Bungie totally fucked Halo 2's storyline and turned Master Chief into just a war machine, rather than what he should be in the books.

From what I've played of Pariah so far, it has a good storyline. The opposing force are trying to contain a woman who has a virus, wheras, your character is on a different side who is trying to save her (for research purposes maybe?)

As for the guns, they pwn. Pariah's shotgun is absolutely amazing, and I love the grenade launcher. Hey, at least it has a big selection of original weapons, and they're upgradeable. What about Halo 2's original weapons? The Energy Sword isn't original; it was in Halo 1. Er...the Battle Rifle, the Carbine? Both pretty much the same style of weapon. Um...Brute Shot?

I rest my case...

You people relied to heavily on your expectation of what Halo 2 'should have been' only in your eyes and relying on the E3 demo trailer.

I've seen better thinking on that matter in monkeys.

BTW, never played Pariah, nor heard of it before...

I'd have to say I like the foliage in this game. That's what makes a game for me. Not many games can handle foliage well.

How is Halo 2 an "over bump-mapped Tribes clone"? LOL, thats an absurd comment. Halo 2 is a great game, storyline and everything. (Despite the few Fanboys, who were upset, because it didn't meet their overhyped expectations)

Pariah, is just decent. Nothing spectacular. I definitely would just borrow it from a friend, and wouldn't buy it.

There's nothing wrong with being a Tribes clone. I'd say Halo is an improvement over Tribes in most parts (besides Classes and a few other things I liked). Tribes pretty much started the whole FPS/vehicle genre thing.

i actually don't like tribes...its "too big" were your pretty much just sniping all the time and wondering around the next...halo is more a combat feeling...and pariah looks nice but i havn't played it. Its next on my list i rented midnightclub 3 first instead next im getting pariah

i played 85% the way though. it was good. online sucked! reasons?

1: Extreme Lag! ( worse than any other game!)
2: Almost no one is on Parih
3: the games are never ending! they littlry are!

Don't get me wrong it was good. I liked the great story. Also online I did like how when you kill someone you get how many power cores they were caring so you can upgrade your weapons. Hey did anyone know that you can play co-op? Just press start at main menu at selct co-op!

im going to have to disagree with you on the storyline

and about the bottom of your post you can download the demo at gamespot, i think i saw a demo there, maybe not.

i didnt download it because i thought it would be bad...but those screens persuade me otherwise
