RECRUITING MODDERS FOR NEW MAP PACK!!!
Posted: Sun Mar 23, 2008 5:16 pm
Hello to all Halo 2 modders.
I am an experienced modder and I have been planning to create
a map pack that will greatly contribute to the modding community
similar to the Killtrocity mappack that was released a relatively
long time ago.
To make the creation of this map pack smooth, I have decided to
put together a clan of modders. "Ambrosia Modders" is a name I
have thought of but it can be debated.
I am looking for modders with a wide range of experience to take
a huge part in making this map pack, as well as modders with
little experience to give an onlooker's opinion, and to be the first
to play and see these mods in action.
Once the team is assembled, depending on the size of the group,
each person (or group if there are more than 8 members) will be
assigned to focus on certain aspects of the maps such as: weapons,
projectiles, vehicles, sounds, effects, skins, and light, depending
on the specialties each person has.
We will start with the original map then create progressive
versions after everyone submits their changes. Before a mod
makes it into a version, it will have to be debated upon within the
clan and win a majority vote. To make all of this go smoothly, I
will hold the master version of the map that will be tested and
played on Xbox Live once every week so that we can make
observations and changes. I've already started minimal mods on
terminal, so we will start with that, and then move on to the other
multiplayer maps. The different versions of the maps will be
filmed and posted on youtube.com until we get a majority vote
to stop modding the map. We will then vote on a map to mod
next and go from there!
Once we finish with the multiplayer maps, we will release the pack
to every site possible to make it extremely available for download.
If everything has gone successfully, we will move on to mod the
Campaign maps, and release a new Halo 2 Game, hopefully
available to download as a torrent, or buy as a Game DVD on
ebay or such.
In an addition to the basic modding skills, I am especially
looking for people exceptionally skilled in modding the mainmenu
and in making very visually appealing skins.
I'm very confident that we will be able to create an aethetically
pleasing and exciting map and am hoping that if you have the skills to
make this project an exceptional one you will jump on and help
us out.
