Cryophobia

A mod for trial, based off of Sky Wars v.2 will completely transform the game of Halo Trial without using any full version materials.

The theme is snow/ice for this mod. The MP map will not be rebuilt, but the campaign version will be. I especially need help on creating a highly detailed snow texture.

Also, I'd like the multiplayer part to have sections of ice covering the ground (not just skinned, but actually reacts to other elements in the environment like ice). I mostly want the lower elevation areas to be covered in ice- not the higher (so don't swap the grass and ice material effects.)

Please note that I will have a night and day version of this mod so I didn't convert all the sky graphics appropriately (this is the "night" version minus the lightmaps).

This modding project began back in April of this year- if you're a pretty good skinner looking for a mod to get some practice in, reply below*. The only pics I'll release right now is the one for the UI.

The Main menu text (I.E. multiplayer, campaign, settings...) are still being worked on. The screenshot shows the first completed one (green will be replaced with cyan or blue buttons)
If you have an idea on how to make the text more "3D-ish" please reply.

*Please note that a lot of my work goes beyond just skins with the visual elements- having knowledge in editing multipurpose and alpha channels is something I'm looking for in a skinner.

Philly, sure. There are a lot of other things in this mod that need skinning. I can send you a link to download the beta- There is a flameghost skin in the mod which I think would look even better if the multipurpose (for the flames only) was green.

Green= luminescence
Blue= MC's Armour
Purple and black= brightness and darkness

Red=detail

I think i can get the detail ice, and one nice image in the menu :D
Also some tips, to make the mod even more realistic :wink:

I have already the front page and the letters of the front page!If I need to add something say after I posted(let-me just host).

I can't find detail ice sorry :(

By the way you could make all the map made by Ice, of the multiplayer levels as "Ice Fields" and "Sindwinder".

The one that is really hard to drive with an warthog or scorpion, you know?

Don't the tree white, take out the leafs(Swap "Cryo Glass A10", by the leaves, and put the tree lass saturated.

Well now I'm starting on the single player version now- it has a lot of PMI'd things in it- some CE tags (I got permission to convert them).

It's going along pretty well-
Just for the heck of it I decided to start working on animation tags for the original energy sword model, just in case I have to use my own tags (some places will not allow me to upload tags created by others, with permission or not).

Hate to bump so early, but I don't think anyone will get this news soon enough- I'm creating a "binoculars" wphi.

I need someone who knows how to edit the sniper scope mask to look like the binoculars from halo 2 or 3 to make one for me.

Credit will be given, of course.
