Why We Mod

"Why We Mod" was a video made a long time in the early modding days by a Halo modding group called Group Bocked. A few of you may remember it but chances are, most of you don't. The video was a short one, containing various mods such as shader swaps, skins, weapon modifications, and other similar things. There was nothing "big" compared to our standards now.
As many of you know, Halo 2 modding for the most part now has a blackened name thanks to some members of the modding community. Due to the easiness of Xbox "softmodding" and the ease of getting the files required to perform it, modding Halo 2 on Xbox Live spread quickly. This hurt matchmaking in Halo 2 even further as there was still abuse of network manipulation in addition to the new threat... Most modding videos on other sites will show this as they are usually what we call "cheating mods."
This is a project meant to change that. We want to show the general community that modders are not a bad thing, that we do what we do out of curiosity and for fun. I think most members here would agree with that.
There are two types of mods that will make up the video. The first type of mod, I would call the clever mod. Clever mods are basically mods that do something new and cool and aren't just flashy weapons or skin changes. An example of a clever mod would be Air Strike by Iron_Forge or Catipoltulation by Jdogg. The second type of mod would be what I call the cool mod. These mods are usually extensive, consisting of major skinning changes, weapon and vehicle modifications at times, and sometimes even BSP conversions. Examples of these would include Cliffside Manor by Jesse Cutter or Biohazard by ScottyGEE. There will probably be a few simple mods also that don't fall under either of these categories.
If you would like to take part in this project, please post here. Include whether you have a modded xbox or not, if you have a capture card, and your XBC and Kai gamertags. Feel free to suggest any mods as well. I would really hope to get some well known members of the community involved in this project. Thank you for taking the time to read this as it took a while for me to type it.
