Purity - the open-source Application Project

Post by DarkMetal »

Hello all,

I've been checking out HaloMods for a long time now, and just recently I registered.

What I have in mind is an idea for a program, one I've had in mind since I saw insolence and ch2r. It's a program called Purity. The only problem I have is that I dont know very much coding, let alone can I do his by myself. The best thing I can do is create a great GUI and some other things.

An eample GUI is included. If you would like to say something about it, or even help maybe, contact me through msn or yahoo messenger.

MSN: murderthylamb@hotmail.com
Yahoo: murderthylamb@yahoo.com

Any Questions you have, feel free to ask.

I'm assuming it's some sort of map editor? You can IM me if you want to talk.

Yes, it is a map editor.

Here's an Update. I thought up some cool features in this time since last post: a Quick-Launch bar. I've included the new app template and the source, in case anyone... "Spontaniously" does something to it.

It's in VB 2005 by the way.

I think that if you made a program where you could edit the terrain of a map and also have simple, click and drag, PMIing, it would be a crazy awesome map editor... on the other hand, I also, don't know much programming so I can't help you. Talk to, like, the maker of Sparkedit and see how he is able to open up the map files and see if there's a way to edit the geometry in the map... that would be my suggestion for right now, but I think a map editor would be awesome.

The maker of SparkEdit is Grenadiac, and he is busy working on Prometheus currently.

I supppsoe I'll try to get a hold of Grenadiac then. Having his help, or even Anyone's help, would be great.
